sooo fukin GOOD.

shame about the Subbies crowd and shit supporting DJs After Sander drops that killer remix for his last track with the "around the world" acapella (anyone know the name of the track with the piano piece?) Jumping Jack comes on and drops some stupid assed hard shite. Like WTF

Aldrin was a bit of a disappointment too. Spent 80% of the time away from the decks and did not warm up the crowd for Sander at all.

Seriously Sander's music style was sooo different from the supporting acts he really was out of place. I reckon he should have been rockin it at YU with Mayer and Fanciulli instead.

Anybody know the name of that tune that sounded very much like My Lexicon but wasn't?

Set of the year for me fo' sho.

SAnder was Pumping! This is not Miami and Moby-Go(Trentmoller mix) went off!

THe crowd was a dissapointment however and the fact that 'pre-paid' tix holder had a separate much longer queue to get in just pissed me off!

But it was all worth it to hear SAnder, it fucking rocked! yea that last around the world rmx was awesome, anyone know it?

are u serious? OMG i wanted to die!!! what the hell was that! i cant even begin to explain the level of disppointment i have. like it was all over the shop!. i dont know, like i thought it was maybe just me, but i couldnt get into it, one moment it was like progressive, i thought... ahhh this is the old sander, then it would be like fucken chompy chunky subbies hard stuff. and like, eeerie horror movie music sounds!!

anyways, i didnt enjoy it, it prob was me, and this is prob nothing to go by for when he plays in melbourne. but like. i dont know. it was a bit too all over the shop for me. anyways.

hope he tears it up in melbourne.

Posted by waXology on Nov-25-2006 09:07:

i only caught the last hour of his set, which i really enjoyed,.. saying that though i was going in with pretty low expectations and only decided to check it out at the last minute when i coulndt get into YU. i wish i had seen him a few years ago when i classed him as one of my favorite dj's, his sets the past year or so have done nothing for me so the tracks he played in the last hour on fri night were actually a little better then i expected.. but yeh would have been better had he suprised us all with an awsome prog set like the old days.

as for he crowd, for a sublime night i thought it was really good, and really enjoyed JJ's set. a little strange having those guys supporting sander, but i love trance so i wasn't complaining and JJ played agreat trance set. i was suprised how much a lot the crowd were getting into it, as i have been there before at sublime when the crowd refuse to move unless hardstyle is being belted out by fish or savage.

random night that one, ended up at sander only $30 on the door which was sweet and he sounded really fucking awesome!

Posted by jc on Nov-26-2006 11:51:

worst set of the year without a doubt.

his first 30 mins were great, i was loving it, then he just went downhill. I cant believe he actually HAS tunes that like in his box. some of the shit he was playing was just pure aweful noise. and the thing is i knew he wouldnt be that great.. but fuck me he has lost the plot. I walked out.

So he must have played "The Fruit"?

Actually I didn't hear it in Melbourne either and I don't remember leaving the room. IF I had heard it I would have left the room, I hate it!!!

Maybe it was on during the fight!!!

It was worse. Some of the shit he was churning out sounded to me like slowed down hard style. seriously. It was terrible!

I enjoyed the whole night.
I missed Aldrin cos i was late getting there but i really enjoyed Sander K. I was probably dancing right next to you's cos i was pretty much first row right in front of sander for most of the night. Changes vs. around the world was an absolute bomb! loved it!
Also enjoyed a couple of other songs which i cant remember. i also liked how jj dropped montero - hairy hits. that was awesome and are you fine. Also heard the space we are. all round pretty good night. And i experienced the gang bang dance in the flesh for the first time and couldnt stop laughing for ages. That shit is funny.
