I'm not saying he won't play it anymore, but you have to look at what types of events he'll still drop it at, and what type of event he'll be playing when you see him. If you take a look at his Kiss 100 sets or his sets from smaller clubs, you'll notice that he will generally play more downtempo, Progressive and borderline "Minimal" (quoted because I use it very loosely). However, if you see him playing larger events like Godskitchen or Ultra:NY (I assume you're referring to that?) you'll notice that he plays louder, more "banging" tracks.

I was there at Nation (Washingtong DC) that night but left before his encore, Heaven Scent. I would assume he only played it to give the crowd one final 'hoorah!' since that was the second to last show for Nation, ever. I'm still sorry I missed the end of his set but the entire night was just incredible anyway.

Flat batteries? what is this flat batteries u speak of?

I'm not down with asking Sasha to play a certain track either...your not at a wedding with a shitty wedding DJ. Problem is with requests, its usually a track that just won't fit in the set so it won't happen, however these guys know people want to hear some of the tracks that got them popular to begin with, so u don't have to do that anyways...just let the man do his job

It might not be the DJ's job, though. If the crowd is loving his current style and you want to request a tune he hasn't played in the last five years (or rarely ever plays) then you need to be kicked in the balls.

well im not saying you shouldn't request because they're assholes, but because they are veterans and the time when they took requests is long gone. i wouldn't request tracks to Danny Howells either, even though he would probably be cool about it, but same thing applies.
I would have no problem requesting a track to James Zabiela right now, but in 5 years i doubt i would be requesting. I don't request tracks to DJs anyways, especially ones who build their set a certain way and can't just slam a track wherever at any time.

The only time I could ever see myself requesting a track is if I am friends with the DJ, and we're either hanging out and spinning for no reason, or if we're thinking about what we may or may not play at a club later in the evening.

Pro Tip: Don't ask Digweed to play Marcel Woods and Tiesto. I was spinning prog house and borderline "Minimal" and some kid asked me for both of those. Fucking genius.
