| Originally posted by idoru As far as Digweed's reaction to being asked to play Heaven Scent, have you even heard his sets as of recently? In June and he wasn't playing anything near the style of Heaven Scent, yet at least 20 people started begging for it as soon as his set was done. He wasn't an asshole about it, he just laughed and said no, but still... That's a tune that you just don't request. |

| Originally posted by stevebutabi I successfully requested Xpander to Sasha when he was on his AirDrawnDagger tour. He actually closed his set with it for me... one of the finer moments in my clubbing career. |

Sasha taking requests? What next:
'Ok folks, we've got a Ford Fiesta, RG53 XRY outside. You've left your lights on, we don't want any flat batteries now...'

If you feel the need to make requests, the DJ is probably not doing the best job...

well im not saying you shouldn't request because they're assholes, but because they are veterans and the time when they took requests is long gone. i wouldn't request tracks to Danny Howells either, even though he would probably be cool about it, but same thing applies.
I would have no problem requesting a track to James Zabiela right now, but in 5 years i doubt i would be requesting. I don't request tracks to DJs anyways, especially ones who build their set a certain way and can't just slam a track wherever at any time.
The only time I could ever see myself requesting a track is if I am friends with the DJ, and we're either hanging out and spinning for no reason, or if we're thinking about what we may or may not play at a club later in the evening.
Pro Tip: Don't ask Digweed to play Marcel Woods and Tiesto. I was spinning prog house and borderline "Minimal" and some kid asked me for both of those. Fucking genius.
At some rave I was playing Thomas Schumacher - Rotor and some kid told me "Hey, play some PAUL VAN DUKE!"
I remember playing at some small club - it was Wednesday or Thursday, I dont know exactly - and a girl came to me holding small paper in her hand and there was: 'Tisto - Trafic' 'Born Slipy'. I still lol at the '' in 'Tisto'.
