I never have worn ear plugs at the club....I really should but my clubbing days are coming to an end so I don't think I'm gonna invest in a good pair of plugs at this time.

always wear those er-20s.....when i can remember them

Posted by vINCe_Inc on Nov-06-2006 23:50:

.

.i've reached a point where i MUST wear them, 6 years of partying and im left with bad hearing, add that on top of 5 years of listing to music on the way back and forth to school. Now i have trouble hearing people speak and must read lips ! haha.
well. not to that extent.
my greatest advice is to protect your ears, because loss of hearing really sucks.
.
btw i like the feelin you get when you wear ear protection, its like you'r underwater, sound is kinda muffled, it almost adds to the euphoria i must say !

Hopefully it goes away soon! I still can hear it haha.

It kinda sucks cause I have an exam that I'm studying for on Wednesday and its hard to focus w/ the damn ringing.

If you have the ER-20s, try wearing a bit before you actually use them. It takes some getting use to as there is a slight (and I mean slight) discomfort feeling, but will be worth (if you remember to bring, which I always forget to do).

The only time i've brought them was when I went to Dragonfly, and there sound system doesn't cause any ringing for me...

thats true as well. For some reason, I always tend to float towards the speakers...I don't mean to, but I always end up there.

Posted by darouge11 on Nov-07-2006 00:16:

i dunno its nice sometimes to hang where the speakers ar..but i see people literaly standing up against them....i just cant help but saying wtf his/er ears are done

Posted by rabbitjoker on Nov-07-2006 00:17:

And most of the time its some crazy asian person!
I think the same thing too. Seriously, are they literally deaf and have to "feel" the music ala Pete Tong style?

This is quite an unintelligent statement. Not necessary? Any prolonged exposure to loud music is damaging to your ears; example listening to your iPod with those ear-buds at normal volume.

And you say being in a club will not be damaging? You've got to be kidding me.

It's coming from the same guy who thinks the "withdrawal method" should used for more than just getting money from a bank.

how good are the ER-20's Lisa? i just usually steal some cool orange ones from work and they work damn well...the ones guv security uses are shite, and the yellow ones i get from MB are half decent. bit denser, much tougher.
