because they probably only booked her for 90 minutes.

I actually used to be a bit of an advocate for TIL when it opened, but last night was just a whole bunch of annoyances piled on top of one another. Cuzo saw how pissed I was on my way out - how is it possible to enjoy your night at ALL when bouncers are constantly touching you, glaring at you, asking you to move, PHYSICALLY MAKING YOU MOVE...

At this point, 4 different creeps had touched me in a 5 minute span and I decided it was best I leave before making a complete scene. As I exited the main area of the club, I paused on the stairs to dial a phone call - only to be herded again.

I find this very disturbing and unnecesary...you think Babs will change her opinion about TIL now?

BTW...how was her set Sarah?

Huh think you had a bad night, ask Manzone and Strong about theirs!
The boys were in a serious car accident after the show, but their ok.
The vehicle however is not.

Im sure the lunchboxes that rammed them were listening to z103

and kudos the boys will be making the trip to play in the much friendlier confines of Windsor tonight.

There was nothing wrong with her set, but I could have been listening to an internet radio show. (specifically, the Proton Radio one) I recognized a few tracks, nothing mindblowing.

She seemed unimpressed, not a single instance of her doing the MB finger point pose, she even had to put a sweater on because it was so cold in there...that's the sign of a bad party, when the dancefloor is freezing cold at 3am. I seriously hope we see her move over to Sonic in 2007.

But you also can't blame the staff of the club for that ONLY. You can predict the crowd on what dj u r going to see...A lot of pple don't know much about her....and she isn't like she used to be before....

Can you say

DUI

Posted by Orko on Nov-11-2006 17:08:

jon jon it seems as if you are a real advocate for TiL. I know in a lot of review threads you say 'one of the best nights of my life'; but how do you defend all these negative posts?

Are you turning a blind eye, or just chalk the instances up to these specific people having a bad night/contributing to the problem?

Uhh, I hope you have a source to back up such an assumption. Not cool.

we have all seen the photos of the gray goose bottles going around..

im not accusing anyone, just making a guess

Well I haven't seen them. And it's still an accusation, it's just a passive one. If you've got something to say, have the balls to say it straight up.

will have to wait for the photos to be posted to see

Do photos prove blood alcohol level? No they don't. Tool.

Posted by MKpacha on Nov-11-2006 17:17:

its seems that ppl either love TiL or Hate it, not one or the other...

Skipper hates it, Jon likes it, both have explained on many occasions their reasoning behind their opinions, i dont think we need to break out the arguments again.

I will state this however, and please do not think negatively towards me skipper. Skipper did decide to go reluctantly to TiL to see her favorite dj. That reluctancy (sp?) already may have put her in enough of a negative mind state to think poorly of the rest of her night (although in general it didnt sound to friggen superb...lol)

let me put it this way... i went to guv one night with friends, i have good nights there, i have bad nights... however i was in a fantastic mood going this night...going through the drink search, i had a finger basically slipped close enough to being in an area that only my bf goes near... *ahem*... i was shocked, utterly shocked....however forgot about it quickly and continued my night, great night....

mindset and past opionins always have alot to do with someones reviews of their nights...

Posted by Skipper on Nov-11-2006 17:25:

I actually used to be an advocate for TIL when it first started doing these nights. I thought they were great in concept. I've been maybe 3 or 4 times now, and the ONLY time where I felt the staff treated me like a paying customer was when I had a table. As they should, for $500.

I have seen Barbara probably about 20 times in the last 5+ years, driven many many miles and gone to some less than stellar venues to hear her, and always managed to have a good time.

Also, whoever posted that comment about M&S is an idiot. For the record, I did not see any grey goose bottles in the DJ booth, nor did I see M&S drinking at all.

like i said... im not trying to offend you... nor did i say you were not a supporter. however if i remember correctly, you did sound very reluctant about having to go to TiL to hear MB.

Well come on, the guy is making an attempt to start a rumour based on something he saw in a photograph?? That's just plain stupid and uncool. Like, honestly. LOL.

Posted by _EuG_ on Nov-11-2006 17:34:

im not trying to start any rumors...i just made an assumption because in previos TiL photoshots there are always photos of certain people drinking out of the gray goose bottles... i guess last night wasnt one of those nights

Posted by capo tutti di on Nov-11-2006 17:35:

Ya I hear that especially when it comes down to a thing like claiming a DUI, I know what I'd do if someone spread a falsehood like that, but "tool"....shot through the heart...LOL
