Yeah But I have fun Taking pictures...I have fun when I dance too.. Sometimes its nice to mix it up. I'm pretty sure they would allow me to take the camera out of the club and place it in my car when I was finished and come back in.

well...
bringing a dslr doesnt give you much freedom to dance when you have to carry the thing all night long. bringing a p&s allows you to dance and take some pics at the same time. as for re-entry, i have never seen them allow it. they may make you pay again when you come back.

Really...I always thought they let you leave to put it away and return without a problem...ew that makes me think twice than.

thats a good question. the lineups seem to start at a different time almost every weekend so its pretty hard to predict the situation for this friday. i would say getting there around 10:30 would be a safe bet but i hope you dont mind walking in to a club that is nearly empty, at least you are inside without bullshit lineups.

there may be reduced list available but im not sure as i am not a promoter. talk to 'ally m' or 'sean cassidy' or 'activate' (TA usernames) for more info.

I don't know...I just assumed it.

ahhh. most clubs here i found do not allow re-entry for any reason because they want to keep you at their bar all night and not wander around to other bars. a good way to tell if a club allows re-entry is if there is a person standing at the front door giving hand stamps as people exit the premises and they dont have one at TIL.

Guys, I'm JOKING. I'm not going to TIL this Friday.

For whomever asked about the line, I got there at 1am last Friday and there was not a single person in line outside the club.

I just assumed that having a pretty legitimate resaon like placing your $1500-$2000 camera away in a safe place would be a good reason. That sucks.

as a business owner they would think the safest place for you to keep your precious camera is at home. if you decide to bring it out then its not their responsibility.

Nick Warren is the shit. I never missed him at The Guv.

Here's a clip I took with my camera in March, taken from the Drink entrance looking down on the main floor.

"Milk" - Kings of Leon, SnV remix

never had any problems with in and outs anywhere when I had my camera on me. but then again... TiL is different from all other venues, and I've never taken pictures at TiL.

to JP: just call the club directly and ask them what ur options are. maybe they can put you on the media list.

is JP media though?
i dont think they would put just anyone with a camera on the media list.

Don't assume anything about TIL unless you're assuming everything is going to be extrordinarily difficult

i dunno why you're freaking. i was just saying that a media list was meant for media. media being people that work for a company that has a legitimate use for the images. bring your point&shoot.

That's cool, when I got there @ 1am for Sander is was rammed to the tits outside, guess it just depends on the dj. I'd say to be on the safe side (especially with a club like TiL) just show up at 9:30/10 and chill a half hour before the club gets going, I mean it won't kill your night (it shouldn't).

Posted by nusty on Nov-15-2006 06:54:

should be an awesome night! I was closer than 7 hours away I'd bust up for Nick Warren in a heart beat.
Hope everyone has a great time. btw: that mexico city set is F'ing rediculously good! Thanks for throwing that up there.

Posted by King_Mack on Nov-15-2006 13:25:

anyone set times for Nick?

Im going to try to make it, Nick is absolutely brilliant, and out of the 9 times Ive seen him, he's always dropped a fantastic set. Not too crazy about the venue but whatever.
