-- EUROPE and why i HATE it!!!!!

visiting Europe is a thing, living there is something else.

a laissez-faire, easy-going type of lifestyle mingled with a touch of laziness is very common in hotter Mediterranean countries.

Did you try bribing someone from the internet company to get things done?? Canadians aren't used to do that.

Yah dude, offered the guy money to come and do it but he said no, so i offered the technician money and he wouldn't do it either.

Waz, i've played in quite a few countries in Europe, i have friends playing in France, Denmark, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Germany, you name it. Same problems everywhere. I shouldn't say that i hate Europe, what i really hate is the way things are done here. Visiting is definetely nothing compared to living in any of these countries.

Arney, i won't quit bro, not until my body gives out!

Beh, its been done bro, haha

Jay, no Starbucks for me. There are plenty of cool cafes around here. Plus, Starbucks' Frappes suck!

go to Britain. The Brits aren't European. They do things differently there.

true story.

On the bright side, you atleast got to see how the Brits enjoy their holidays .

Dude, you're Emery's friend I suppose.

You know, let's switch jobs, I'll make babies with european chicks in your place

Not to mention, being close to London, Paris, Madrid, Barcellona, Ibiza, Amsterdam and all the other party places!

No worries, but it's true. If that's you in your avatar che, he's my plan for you:

Because you look like a handsome guy with muscles, if I was in your place, I would get a job as a waiter in a chic cafe. Not only you make an extra buck, but remember women love sexy waiters. It'd be too easy to get some kinky European sex with most of them.

And like you said, when your body gives in and you can't play volley anymore, you come to Canada and enjoy a wonderful and fulfilling cubicle job that would be inspiration for the next Dilbert comic strip.

Speaking of which:

I'm sorry, but I don't see how this is Europe's fault. Shouldn't you be more mad at the company you play for, than all of Europe! Haha

I dunno though, I haven't been there...yet! When I'm there next summer I'm gonna try to get a job for a couple months, so I'll see if I get the same treatment.

Look maybe the title was a little misleading. I don't hate Europe itself. I hate the way things are done here. Sure Europe is a lot of fun. People love to have fun. To tell you the truth i have yet to see someone super drunk, throwing up, falling over, etc. I said it before, its an awesome place to come for a vacation. In all honesty though, if there was a professional league in North America i wouldn't even think twice about staying. I have a lot of work experience in Europe, not just THIS company. Maybe i should change the title to "I Hate Working in Europe".

I truly hope your work experience turns out better.

Zeidoo, that was good stuff. I laughed! I'll pass on working in a cafe though. I'm going pretty good in that departament just by playing ball As for the first picture you put up, i'm not too sure thats exactly correct. Many girls here enjoy Gyros and Suvlaki a bit too much. On that note, the ladies here dominate mainland Greek ladies and i'm sure Chris can back me up on that.

haha oh you might as well say it there are some pretty massive ones there

Posted by zokissima on Nov-13-2006 14:06:

I think its hard for some North Americans comming over to Europe. The lifestyle and culture is very different, and is hard to get adjusted to from those here who are used to "have it ready, and have it ready yesterday".
Stick with it, because you're young now and get to experience something everyone dreams about. If you quit, you will probably miss the adventure and regret it later on in life.

Nai re, we tried counting all the not so attractive looking women in each city, they don't exist, we were in shock, when I go back next summer I'm hoping to bag one, hahah. (kidding)

As for griva digenis that's the one! Crossing that street freaks me out b/c I'm surprised I managed to do it without getting killed! lol

They're crazy. I'd be up for driving a vespa (my cousin Yianno has 5 of them) but no thanks, I want to live. lol We saw so many people in Ayia Napa with casts on, forearm casts probably b/c of driving and them not being used to it.
