Next TOTA BBQ, you're bringing 'properly made' butter chicken.

Or else your soul is mine

I would love to, but it requirs chicken that was first cooked in an tandoori oven(which i do not have), and it requirs local street dirt that can only be found in India.

there are two main problems with the butter chicken here:
1) not cooked in a tandoori oven first
2) they use white meat; have to use dark meat

You're obviously not going to the right place then.

There's one just off of Yonge street (South of Bloor) called, "Exotic Tandoori".
It's Pakistani but the food is about as authentic as your going to get according to my Pakistani workmate.

That could very well be true.

I'll have to check it out, although when I do go to an Indian place, I usually do not get butter chicken myself, just try my friend's. Im much more interested in other menu items.

I never once had vindaloo in India, or even saw it on menus(maybe I was not looking for it). First time I ever heard of it, was here in Canada, very strange.

The one thing I miss most is kati kabab, from this little place on the outskirts of Delhi, it took 2 hours to get there, but it was worth it!

heh I'll put my green studded one on- dun worry, I have the matching bangles, nose stud and earrings to go with it too
j/k - the only bindis I have worn have been at raves ooopssss parties.

anyways- I have been cooking a lot of Indian food lately ( my gorey friends literally buy the ingredients just so I can cook for them )
I can't really complain because I make it HOT AS HELL so
a)I can watch em sweat buckets, pant, guzzle water like crazee,
b)causes them to eat lesser so I have lots left over.

..............

jokes aside - I do cook it well but nothing like

MOMMA's HOME COOKED FOOD tho..

movies? eek! I can't stand the melodrama in most Hindi films so you won't see me watching DON.

I'm thinking of going to the lunch buffet at Bombay Palace at Jarvis and King. $10.95 before 2:30pm, anybody interested.

I'm dashing to Yonge/Sheppard area this afternoon, but I'm working in the 404/hwy7 area. Would've been good outing for the RH/Markham totas, but another day for me.

Looks like voodchild's cooking dinner for us.

I especially like the chain from the ear to the nose, so wear that, that's hot.

the weirdest thing about indian food in india is the higher the cost, the less likely it is to taste good
