It definately wasn't as bad as Graham made the other Sonic nights out to be. I would've liked a bit of a younger crowd though. By the time I was leaving Sonic it seemed like the only people that were left there were shirtless 40 year old dudes and a few younger people here and there.

- sean was good, his second hour was lit higher than last, which I found to be a really smooth into demi

- demi's first two hours were killer, the real "demi sound", groovy but with an edge, dark but not evil. I felt like he didn't really play any big tracks, nor get the party any higher than the bar set by Sean... however, I like Demi and I think it'll be fun to watch him grow into the big leagues.

- everything at sonic ran smoothly, and it continues to mature into the 5 star club I think it can be.

- in other news, the fucking zone was awesome. so many antics, wow.

Sean Miller was really good, he always impresses me.

No problems getting in, or at any point in the night.

Crowd was good, getting dressed up in army gear was fun.

Demi was hot and cold for me, sometimes really good, others a bit dry, but all in all had a great time.

Sean was awesome as usual , demi was very good at times and other times just not my cup of tea, but he played a long set so thats to be expected. Good times at sonic!

I had fun, a great night with good friends and one of my favorite Sonic crowds yet.

Music was pretty unexciting though. I always adore Miller and he always delivers but Demi wasnt really what I expected. Good tunes but it got a little relentless towards the end.

I have a few pics from our place beforehand that are quite funny that I shall humour you with:

army hoes ftw!

weird that we were just having a discussion about Tribal and Sonic and Demi jus hours before his gig lolz. i really really enjoyed Demi for the first hour or so but then it sort of got boring and stuff ... Demi is a great Dj and even a better person and i will for sure see him again but Saturday night just didnt blew me away like i was expecting it. perhaps over excited ... who knows .
on the other hand as a opening set Sean did a great job. loved every minute of it. oh and this time the crowd really surprised me at sonic. it was awesome. excellent work done on the decor

^Suggestion for next military ball party.

Build a sandbag bunker around the DJ booth. (a la Vietnam movies)

K, time for a more proper review.

Ever since Boa packed up and left, I knew I'd see Demi there again sooner or later. It just had to happen, and finally, it did 2 days ago. Needless to say I was pretty excited about this party, but I still managed to keep my expectations in check and went in with an open mind.

Upon entering the club, the first thing I noticed were the sick decorations. I would seriously prefer to have those decorations up permanently, since it really adds to the atmosphere. Started running into all the usual suspects right before I entered. This was one of my favourite TA showings. All the right people were there and it was definately one of the highlights. Overall though, the crowd was pretty decent. Everybody looked like they were having a great time, and there was practically no attitude, which is something I've grown accustomed to whenever visiting this spot.

As far as the music goes though, I gotta say that unlike most people I was rather impressed with the music. It definately had it's lows but I was never expecting either DJ to play a perfect set and, overall I think both Miller and Demi did a great job. About Miller specifically though, even though I've only had a chance to hear him a handful of times, this was the best I've heard from him (yea I need to see him more often). He warmed up the crowd perfectly, and the transition between him and Demi was seamless. As for Demi...he was great, but definately not the best I've heard from him. The set lacked a certain flow, and I found myself getting out of it a few times. Still though, the crowd was having a good time and I had a good time too.

Demi's definately one of my favourite DJ's at the moment, and this was another quality night of tunes courtesy of him. I really really really hope that he'll play this venue again someday, even though I'd probably go see him anywhere.

B-
