WOW - that is just about all I can say. The Zone was simply amazing yesterday. Got there around 11, after Gallery and Sonic and partied hard until 4:30. Anthony's set was probably one of the best I've heard, EVER!! The Zone just loves him and I'm sure the rest of Toronto feels the same. Am I the only one who thought the sketch factor was really low? Mabye it was the amazing group of people I was with - the Miami crew does it right. Nice to see some friendly TA faces as well. Dance2dabeat - I think we met in the ladies room - telling the janitor he has the worst job in the world while he unplugged the sink with a plunger - I think I lauged for an hour after that...

Anthony, it was such a pleasure meeting you! We cannot wait until next time.

Michelle

nice meeting u too michelle

Posted by DiskoBiskit on Nov-13-2006 16:15:

that janitor is the sketchiest person in there. He was constantly in the ladies!

Attalla was amazing. He hyped up my energy levels like you wouldnt believe (again!)

However, Friday - Footworks, Saturday - Sonic, then straight to the zone until 9pm!!! I want crawl under my desk hibernate.

Not doing that kind of bender again for a while... well, at least a couple of weeks anyway..

Good to see Cribby nearly taking peoples faces off with his enthusiastic dancing and great to finally meet Illnaya looking fab in her military gear. x

- Nathan Barato was unbelievable, his last hour only cemented for me how bright his star will shine.

- Eric Entrenna (or Mikey Antenna) played the best tribal set I've heard, period. (i'm not counting the C&C new years set as it's in another league of greatness)

- I'm incredibly annoyed that Carlo didn't get to play, I was dying to hear what he was going to do with that place. Shame really.

- Anthony Atalla completely changed the pace on the dancefloor, and brought it to a screeching halt w/ minimal glitchyness HOWEVER made it work very well. I think we all needed a cool down from that tribal madness.

Music was 10/10 in that place the whole day. Getting to talk with Demi in the booth was an added bonus, stellar guy.

that was the one who kicked us out...i'm sure the guy was just annoyed at all the sketchballs but we were still pretty nice to him.

btw English Rachael it was great meeting you! I thought it was so cute how you gave me a big hug outside when I told you it was my first time here.

Zone was mental.

Tunes were great all day, nathans set was really good.

Entrenna was good, but did lose me a bit at the end, i'm not the biggest tribal fan though, so i may not be the best of judges.

Atalla was very good, he has lots of energy back there, fun to watch.
A few hours into his set i was spent, too much maxin and relaxing at the zone, and i had to call it a day, but it was a great day at that.

The Zone was honestly PERFECT for Eric..... his track selection varied from the dirtiest to the darkest to the most melodic tribal i have ever heard....HOLY FUCK!!! really at one point i couldn't even say "wow" anymore!!! The rawest (if thats even a word) dirty f'in tribal

WOW! his set was almost as good as chus & ceballos just a lil while ago holy fuck! ENTRENA controlled the zone in his palms and he was LOVIN every second of it : tribal 4 life bitches!! peeeeeeeeace

Just as Entrena finishe I thougth my legs were gonna just break off ...THE MONSTER gets on the deck..holy fuck I was hurtin so bad from the tribal but his minimal techno had me bustin it i just couldn't stop...that was a very fresh sound for me and solid set from start to finish...Anthonys energy just indescribable he's A F'IN MONSTER lol!!!! just fierce

George Williams awesome bangin bass ahhhh just a perfect way to keep bustin it on and on and on lol...until Sydney was up and I was still at the zone she played a good track selection and had everyone movin....

we left at 8pm ....I got to share one of the best days at the zone with all my favourite ppl and SOME FUCKIN SICK ASS TUNES...no lies...the transition through all DJ's yesterday was UNREAL!

haha, only when I actually hit someone is when I'll feel bad...but those things need restraints!

Great times at the CoZo...definately the best time I've been there.

Seeing many people still in army gear was a good laugh...we must of sketched out a whole lot of bags. lol. I kept getting asked ridiculous questions from randoms like what my rank was, and what battles I participated in....I answered the dude with, "The battle of CoZo." bwahaha. Once again, I was disturbed a numerous amount of times...it's hilarious to be absolutely sober at Zone....although, as I told Jamie, I'm one of the most sober-sketchballs he'll ever meet. Love being a naughty clown...sketching out all the TAs by pointing to random things, and of course, poking their shoulders and hiding. lmao
The heat wasn't bothering me this time...probably because the outfit I wore made it bearable to withstand...so I got alot of dancing done...for the first few hours at least. My feet were starting to get tired, so I had to take breaks every so often until I decided to call it an afternoon at 3:30... 16.5 hours of continuous sober dancing! I think I bet my record

- Caught the last 30 minutes of Barato, and was delighted to hear some minimalistic stuff.

- Eric Entrenna dropped some really hard and dark tribal, which was really refreshing from all the circuit and regular tribal I was used to hearing live...I was really impressed. Asses were almost hitting the ceiling! I even told Jax about my secret move that could only be performed during the peak points of tribaliciousness....the upside down ass thrust! This happened once...when Entrenna played one of my favourite tribal tunes that I've never heard live..

Hawaii - Pure (Janicki Mix)

what a tune!

- As I was lounging upstairs with some TAs...I heard an intro tune...and I knew Attalla had just got on...because I got so excited that I crushed a plastic cup, and it went flying. lol. Anthony Attalla was awesome; totally expected. Once again, he started out with some really awesome minimal techno...and I was extremely happy! At the time, I was able to ID almost every track being dropped...and hearing this stuff at COZO was mental! As I walked down to continue dancing, Attalla drops

Donnacha Costello - 6.6!

It's one of those spacey, repetitive minimal tunes, that you hate to love...nonstop footwork to this one!

"everything continues"
"well that's enough.....fuck it"

lol

After a good 30 minutes, Attalla would drop fewer minimal tracks, and instead bring out some good tech house bangers. No complaints from me...especially since

Johannes Heil - Artology (Destillat Remix)

was played! TUUUUUUUUUUNE

Marc Houle - Bay of Figs was also played...but I think Barato dropped it...such a mindfuck hearing it live!

- Loved hanging with different people at different times...we've become more like a family and I love it. <3 Also...someone passed their secret initiation...and has earned their clown shoes I was really impressed with their "Jax in a box" dancemove haha. JackylClown. Wish I could have stayed longer

I forgot to mention my favourite moment of the night!

Jackie and I were screaming out Fumasa during one song from Entrenna's set....and 5 seconds after a voice sample is played in the song that sounded like fumasa! Bwahahahahahaha WTF! We couldn't stop laughing...I'm sure it's not what it really says....but it definately sounded like it...it kept repeating every 10 seconds.. it was like a whisper. I need this ID! lol.

Like most people say after their first time....that place isn't as sketchy as most people think. I had two sketchy incidents but they weren't that bad....when I was dancing to Eric this huge shirtless guy turns around and stares at me, then bends down to stare at my feet while I danced, I guess the white pumas were interesting to look at?

Posted by dance2dabeat on Nov-13-2006 19:32:

oh ya and when we first walked in all clean and sober...the first thing that hit me was the huge wave of heat with the strongest smell of BO i have ever smelt in my life...and within and hr i was sweaty too was in true party mode....definately more wake and zone days to come!

sketchiest moment of the day:

when this nice good looking guy dressed really nice i ran into and chatted for a few minutes..then later on in the day he was fucking rocked..came up to me and told me I am the first girl since his ex that has caught his eye..and me if the girl dancing beside me was my gf...i said no..i'm not a lesbian..and he says "yeah me and my ex had three somes all the time and it was awesome..."

and so this nice goodlooking guy turned into the biggest sketchbag of the night...i gave him the look of death and walked away....bah!!!

2 words for yesterday: ANTHONY ATTALLA!
Having been at a techno party the night before, this is exactly what I needed to hear @ CZ. Crazy minimal beats What an amazing set and the energy was just crazy. I couldn't stop the feet from moving. I didn't even wanna go outside for smoke breaks.. lol.

Josh you pretty much summed that up for me. I am not a huge tribal fan so I found it a bit hard to keep myself focused when I first got there.

Sdyney played a great set as well. I can't believe I was actually still there when she finished, but by this time I didn't wanna go home yet. Even though my body was dead tired.. I still wanted to dance.

It was pretty much awesomeness from the time I got there until the time I left which was shortly after 8pm. Great music all day and it was good to have such a huge TA turnout. And to my troopers til the bitter end, Thanks Guys
