i dont agree...

allow europeans to keep being european and respect the newcomers as well. Dont worry because after a generation most of the hardcore stuff wears off. I dont think kids born in france would be as strict with wearing burqas etc as their parents.

And if they are? Well thats why its a free country (or supposed to be)

Banning burqas is like banning zanta. These people arent doing anything wrong. Its just that some people dont like what they are doing so they pass a law about it. And thats very wrong.

this new law will just help those people get used to the change of life out side of the middle east. And if they cant accept it, then dont go to the Nethenlands in the first place and stay home.

in canada some work places dont allow ethnic head gear because it is a bonifide requirnment that they wear a helment or wat not.

same thing in netherlands, if they feel that it is neccerry for thier safety that everyone shows their face, then let that be

P.S.

this thread should have had a poll

agreed that in situations where security is at risk then religious items should not be allowed. Just as youd have to take a cross necklace off if you were around machinery where necklaces are hazardous.

i dont think that you should be able to take a cerimonial dagger out in public for example.
