LOL seriously.

Some DJ encounters I've witnessed I've really wondered what's going through their head when they encounter said clubbers.

Posted by Sylent Syd on Nov-19-2006 14:30:

If you request a song that the DJ says he/she doesn't have, don't reply with "Are you sure?!"

Posted by ItalianPoiSon on Nov-19-2006 18:55:

Ask the bouncer or there manager for an autograph n u'll get it sum times..... Got Ferry Corstens that was so siiik

that reminds me of this crackhead at the end of the night at aria in july who was practically trying to jump over the glass wall behind the dj booth and was shouting something about how he was from england and asking where the dj was from blahblahblah. then i think he realized that he wasn't making any sense cos then he just went "i'm fucked, man. i'm fucked" about 3 times and ran away.

yikes.

I proper LOL'ed.

From personal experience:

- don't mess with the mixer when the DJ turns her/his back
- when danicng with glowsticks, please ensure you have a good grip so that the glowstick doesn't land on the records that's playing
- don't grind on the DJ's butt with your friend... s/he may enjoy it, but it makes for a VERY difficult time mixing.
- don't request: rock, R&B, Hip Hop, etc... (unless you're at that type of party)
- if the DJ doesn't have a song you want/won't play it, don't scowl at her/him, give cut eye, or whine about it.

There are so many more... but I just can't hink right now.

Posted by on Nov-20-2006 07:43:

- Don't make requests. Sets are often planned.
- Don't take flash photos. Blinds them.
- Do dance your heart away in front of the booth. They appreciate it!

- Fly

don't call them by the wrong name....

for example, dont wander up to the booth piss drunk and call PvD, Tiesto

if u really must talk to them, wait until they look over at you and if they dont it means they dont want to talk to you. Because they DO know you are there

And dont take them not wanting to talk to you personally. They are there to do a job. Much like you wouldnt go on stage and bug a drummer during a rock concert, same thing here.

second that

- While making sure you're the only person the DJ can see, scrath your balls and say: "Hey ah, so what does "DJ" stand for anyways?"
