Ame gets Cribby's vote...but to be honest, none of the EM for this year really did it for me...

I agree man. This year was surprisingly weak. So was 2005 for that matter.

You are obviously intitled to your own oppinion, but I would have to disagree. I enjoyed many of the new essential mixes this year. There is a ton of great producers/DJ's that are getting better every year. I can't wait for 2007

haha FUCK, YES! How could I forget!?

This was my fav of the year, I'll agree. Come the 50 min he's amazing. A true EM from start to finish...

No one liked the Axwell EM, and I thought as an EM it was shite, but as a plethoera of good tunes it was mint. So many singles in that mix.

Such an easy choice for me

Cox and Digweed from Space.

Legends cranking out monster tunes like only they can.

I haven't listened to many EM's this year. This wasn't as good as I was expecting, but that is just me

Out of the few I have listened to, Sander van Doorn gets my vote

It was a tough one for me.. but it came down to personal experience. Which still made it challenging.. Sven Vath which was fantastic (A Pain I am Use to - which did not make the radio edit - worth all 60 euros we paid for cover), Carl and Diggers @ Space..

The winner for me was Global Gathering .. it was mainly for Deep Dish and Fat Boy Slim because I have not heard Ferry or Tiesto.

A couple of side notes.. It was my birthday, I was there and when Fat Boy played Crazy, I looked up in the sky and told the BBC 1 Gods that if there was ever a time that I wanted something recorded it was now..

Coming home to find that it was recorded was the greatest ever..

It was a good year of Essential Mixes for Fuad, Ryan, Andrea and I.

Grinder made life easy by finding all the sets I was at prior to me getting home..

This thread made me remember a great summer..

hahaha.. I remember when you first told me this and how happy you were. I can totally relate with you. And it is a great feeling knowing you were part of a set and have it forever

- Pete Tong from Pacha in Ibiza

- Ame

- Fergie from Meganite in Ibiza

- Danny Rampling's final EM

Pete's mix at Pacha was fantastic because it was the first EM where he didn't botch a mix

+1 Angelo, nothing special this year but if I were to go with 1 I'd say Farina/Wink.
