I had some problems with IE6 the other day, it kept crashing all the time, so I thought "why not upgrade to IE7"? Went to MS.com, but.. You have to have fucking XP or Windows Server 2003 to be able to use it. Still, you can use it with a 100 years old 233MHz processor So I thought "fuck it, if I can't use it on Win2K I'll change back to FireFox". And so I did. End of story

Less secure from what I've heard. It always shits out on my and I wind up having to end running it. Couple that with the add-ons from the older versions not being compatible with 2.0 (which will be rectified with time I'm sure) and you have one shoddy browser. I only use it because I'm used to it and I don't feel like getting 1.whatever again.

No browser is completely secure but the number of exploits in Firefox is much lower than I.E, and due to it being open source most of them are found and fixed very quickly.

All of the extensions I happened to use with 1.5 work on 2.0 but then I'm not an extension fiend. Im running:

Adblock
Google Preview
FireFTP
Video Downloader
iFox graphite theme
