o man just got home snow up to knees both my neighbers were cleaning their driveways one of them used snowblower i got home i chalanged them in clean OFF and god damn i finished my drive way 1 extra spot beside drive way side walks in front of house back of the house and both of them were still on driveway ! i work for 2 snow blowers and few showels !

I LOVE SNOW !

in BC ive heard some terrible stories of driver's ed. when my friend took the lessons, her instructor didnt even tell her what the side mirrors were for!! then you've got the cocky assholes in their lowered cars cutting people off in the rain and snow, the really bad middle-aged asian drivers (im not being stereotypical, but i swear they are just really bad), and then the mucho adrenaline pumped everybody else trying to get places, and i could go on forever

Those damn asian drivers, especially the female ones over 30!

One time, I got cut off twice in one week by two separate female Chinese drivers! (One of them made an illegal right turn - I was so mad I wanted to cut her off to stop her and get out of my car to yell expletives at her! I only drove past her slowly while giving her a huge middle finger.)

Another time, a Chinese mother ran a stop sign at Lougheed Mall and nearly got creamed by me. This time, I followed her as she tried to park her car to go to the Safeway. I got out of my car this time and yelled at her, but didn't swear because her young daughter was with her and I didn't want to frighten her.

Yet another time, I was parked at the huge parking lot at Revy (now Rona) and some Chinese guy tried to back into the parking spot in front of me...and hit my car! It's like he didn't even turn his head to see where he was going. He just kept going until he hit something and then it was time to stop. Fucking asshole! He was with his wife and son, but I yelled expletives at them anyways!

I swear, they probably buy their driver's licences out there in Richmond. The Chinese driving schools there don't teach them how to drive - they only teach them how to pass the road test in Richmond. They actually teach them the route! And when it comes to the written test, they "refer" them to someone at the DMV that they paid off to "help" them pass that! Oh wait! That was a local news story on the telly a few years ago.

And there were all those times waiting for these lousy Chinese drivers to parallel park their cars in these parking spaces big enough for a bus, time that I'll never get back! I hate really bad middle-aged Asian drivers!

btw, its not all asians.

the other day, there were white kids driving at 10pm on a MAIN road in a WHITE nsx with NO LIGHTS ON, and one of the kids was snowboarding off the back of the car attached to a rope (like water skiing).

okay that may be fun and if done right, can be safe, OFF the main roads, and USE your headlights when you drive a white car in the snow.

idiots. i hope the cop car that i saw parked a block down the road spotted them and gave em hell.

the next night i saw a silver car driving around at 1am with no headlights on as well.

and then tonnes of white people, trucks AND CARS driving around weaving through heavy traffic at 90km/hr. idiots.

i was just talking to some girl from ontario on the weekend, she moved out here 4 months ago and refuses to cancel her ontario driver's licence and medical card cause you have to retake the driving exam if you want your ONDL back and gotta go through some hellish process to get your medical card back, or something like that

all in favor of stoning people going 50km/h in the left lane, say AYE!

But, yes I do have to say how sad it is that at the slightest touch of rain or snow all hell breaks loose in this city.
I mean we must have worst drivers in Canada as it is, but then when you add snow or rain into the mix, we start breaking all the records hehe
Time to move to warmer place where there are no cars and there is no traffic... Maybe Trinidad & Tobago ... how does that sound... or some tiny Hawaiian island...

Ch-yeeeeah was sum minus 20 goodness in Whistler village (minus 30 on hill) last week... luved it! Phatt Pow everwhere!! went up mountain... was white and howling like a damn blizzard! Did some lone hikin to the sweet spots... felt like Mawson crossing the Antarctic!! My 100buck gloves froze solid and they made all crunchy, cracking noises when I made a fist... heheh..

Canadian roommate wasn't impressed. I told him I know how to dress for minus 20... cotton pants & shirt, no gloves, no beanie, throw on a shell jacket.. good to go! (did this every night for work no probs ) hehehe --must be the Russian blood

i hate the slush and dont really like the cold, but all the snow and the crunchy snow and even the low temps kinda made me feel good

yeah i went up to grouse the day after it stopped snowing, it was pretty sweet
