Every other country in the world, people have 10+ years drinking experience over their american counterpart...

Oh and fuck you, I can probably drink more guinness than you.

Posted by Ivand on Dec-01-2006 00:19:

Yeah I don't get Americans. The legal drinking age here is 18... but most people start much younger. I started getting polaxed at parties at 15... did all the shenanigans like getting drunk til I puke or pass out etc.. And by the time I got to 19 I was over it and knew exactly how much I needed to get pissed without throwing up.

When I see People from the US at like 21-22 acting the way I used to at 15 it seems rediiculase. And then you guys have the weird people that react against the rediiculaseness by not drinking at all.

The only people my age I have ever met who say they don't drink are Americans. The first time I met a guys that said he doesn't drink AT ALL I couldn't believe it...

You guys have a bizarre drinking culture.

Posted by mezzir on Dec-01-2006 00:55:

its true
but i mean, we're kinda fucked at this point
same w/ the metric system
we change either that or the drinking age and the country will just shut down for a week

Yes, and I bet if you looked into it, America has the highest rate of Drunk-driving accidents and under-age kids getting busted.
The more you take it awayeth, the moreth we wanteth.
And the stupider we are.
If you teach responsibility from an early age, and not force it into being such a taboo, our kids would BE more responsible when the time comes.

It has been medically researched and proven that having a glass of wine with food is better for the body (better digestion) than drinking water with food.

agreed. In El Salvador they don't card you sometimes to get into bars or clubs, and the minimum age is 18. So whenever you go out you're surrounded by youth, it sucks. If youre dying to go out and drink in the US and you're underage you can always take the chance of making a fake id, it worked for me over there.

Well there are certain clubs where you can find the younger crowd and the older crowd. I wouldn't expect for lets say a 15 year old to visit Envy, but she could go to Code for example. Anyway, I think you went to the same school I currently go to, and I think its pretty obvious that basically everyone goes to clubs even though they are under 18. So are you telling me that you didn't find yourself in some of these clubs and engaged sometimes in illegal underage drinking

But I understand what you are saying, even though I'm not that old I might get annoyed when I see 14 year old kids in edm parties for example. BTW are you saying you used fake ids while you were a minor living in El Salvador? If so, which country's ?

no no, i never used fake id in El Salvador, in the states i used one from Texas, it was printed out and everything..looked pretty real.
One time for James Zabiela in houston me and my friend has the same type of id..so we get to the door with our presale tickets and the bouncer had one of those machines you slide the cards and they id your age automatically...of course our magnetic strip wasnt real so the machine didnt read them..and the bouncer tried both of our cards so then hes like "fuck, this machine isnt working....come on in" and were like woooooooah saved...we were so meant to see james spin haha.

Hehe cool. I actually have one from Florida, which is so authentic looking. Lol, but on the back where it says all that bs in small letters, it says "obay the law". I tend to look relativeley old (I'm not Allied Nations by any means) and I don't mind not getting into clubs sometimes but if it was like some dj I really liked it would simply blow. So i got it just in case, but I've only used it once thus far.

Two friends of mine have the same Florida id and look young for their ages. So they go together to Code, Roman checks their id's and he's like "coincidence, I think not" haha.

well young people drink at house parties

i started drinking with friends when i was 13 dont get me wrong not like getting totally wasted (first hangover was around 16/17) but at 13 we would go to the supermarket or gas station and would buy some booze mostly beers packs and vodka ....never got checked out or anything and we soo didnt look like 18 at this time

and smoking gitanes is kind of a myth now ....let's say some old people do some gitanes but im a smoker (still smoking unfortunately) and a lot of people i know smoke and no i dont know any of them who smoke gitanes

i loved it when i was in germany and the german students would go to the beer gardens on their lunch break; and it was socially acceptable.

if i get a beer with lunch here in the states, i'm called an alcoholic.
