thats funny cuz its so true. When I started listening to EDM I just threw a bunch of different genres on one cd and labeled it Techno 1, Techno 2...
Now I'm much more anal about it.
I don't know which way is worse to be. anal or ignorant.

What she ought to do is spend time reading the site before developing a short attention span and asking to be spoon-fed suggestions. There's plenty of suggestions here, it just requires a little browsing. Besides, I find music exploration much more rewarding on my own in most cases.

I've never been exposed to the genre before. I have no idea where even to start or where to look... and since this is, well, a music discussion board, is it really so wrong that I ask for unput concerning the music in question?
Who are you to judge my means of exploration. I'm not you.

http://www.etn.fm/, and then just tune into the Trance Channel there. Also don't forget to checkout the Progressive Channel too, it's a 1000 times better than Trance Channel in my opinion.

They who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat the same mistakes.

No, it's not.
People get testy, and basically need to go back to fapping if they have no constructive input for you.
They are simply creating more typing for you and themselves to do.
Yippee.

Mankind, in 99.9% of cases, has learned nothing from history and still continues doing same mistakes.

Awwww. My boyfriend just said, "Trance has been dead since... like... 2000."

Takes the fun out of discovering a "new genre."
Oh, well- lots of people on here willing to help a baby to the genre out.
Mad props.

Edit: Couldn't type "mad props" with a straight face.
