ill be honest, last time i saw george was when he closed out for PVD last Nov and he came out blowing that horn while van dyk was still spinning. after he took over the crowd cleared out like there was a bomb threat. and at the first bang didnt he refuse to play or somthing like that?

I'm not trying to start an argument but i can name a hell of alot more too.. including his cd's (he mix what was known was one of the best Trance Nation Cd's .. him and ATB actually)

honestly what kills his whole deal is the ego trip..he's got this complex that makes him kinda look like he thinks hes better and higher than anyone out there... hes really just a short pudgy guy who plays some good trance sometimes..he had some GREAT parties @ Shadow, Level, Spin, and alot of big festivals outside the US and in.. including being one of the main dj's @ Spundae and Glow..where Edgar was also a resident.

know anyone else from miami who has been able to do even half of that other than edgar? I think thats a huge accomplishment..and I havent even mentioned his label or his production skills. I hear even paul van dyk is playing his new stuff..that track Apocalypse is sick from what I hear..

on a lighter note.. one of my favorite all time tracks is Evolution- Walking on Fire (Blank and Jones Mix)...the bass in that track is and that almost tempting vocal.. Mara was a great live act with Evolution..saw em live @ Space on a friday night :-P

yeah i heard that song live @ Koolhaus. The only time too ;[

anyways no offense about Spundae any producer/dj gets booked there. I love my bf but he has even spun there.

GA was good.. he was fuking great during the Shadow Lounge reunion. But if he's not playing oldies.. then he's just wack.

His last cd had 3 martin roth tracks.. which i just saw this weekend and he fuking rocked it.

I'll listen to him for a lil.. But if he doesn't catch my attention after Edgar has gone on.. You better believe I won't even waste my time.

for a long time both he and edgar represented two sides of trance that was really big at one time.. Edgar represented alot of the dutch side of trance and George blew the scene up with German trance..which was one of the things you'd hear most coming out of the speakers at Shadow...


I personally like trance you can groove and dance to, which is what edgar has always played..not too much into the opera type breakdowns that George is known for. the only thing i think deserves a jesus pose is the cross i wear from time to time..lol why does george do that?

but in another light..george was one of the first..if not the first..to introduce Cosmic Gate here in miami..Fire Wire was pivotal in the trance scene..so was exploration of space..their version of Ferry Corsten- Punk.. The Truth.. you name it.. and they are still churning out choons today that are ripping crowds apart.

BDR got it right. I was actually agreeing with some of what you said, and was not being sarcastic. I mean you have the right to hate anyone or any DJ, and I know GA burned a lot of bridges with that Ultra fiasco. So God knows what else he has done to make people dislike him. So be it, to me he's just a DJ who can bring it when motivated or tank it when not.

Oh yeah, I agree definitely keep him far away from the horn. Otherwise it's like listening to someone scratch long fingernails on a chalkboard.

all I have to say is, if Edgar is gonna be playing like he usually does, then I'm going to be there no matter what. And if I can see him every friday, I will. I used to love George Acosta, but after what happened at Ultra yea there was some bad blood. I definitely won't discount him out though. HE CAN STILL BRING IT, and a lot of us know this. I would like to see him make a comeback! Welp, hopefully i'll be spending my time wasting money on the slots, and then some trance

George is a straight up Ass.

He did a gig in jersey a few years ago and one of my friends who worked at club he was at asked George if he needed a drink. Its like 5 minutes and my friend comes back wit the drink for George and he was like "What the phuck took you sooo long(in an arrogant tone)"

He is such a candy ass with his demands and stuff
