Hey, have given this a few listens since over the past couple of weeks and was really impressed with your mixing. The flow on the other hand seemed overly flat in some areas, especially with the Depeche Mode track that just seemed to drag on for an eternity. That being said, I felt the mix took a lot of twists and turns into different sounds and helped keep things interesting. Thanks for the mix.

PS Are you still going to do the mix I posted, I was really looking forward to your go. If not, thats completely cool and I understand. Im just finally getting my feet wet with Ableton so I may be able to tackle it eventually.

sinner in me is definately a talking point, i put it in to slow things down, didn't want to peak too soon (ha!)
I'll do that mix if i get chance, i've got 6 exams coming up in the next month so whether or not i even do a mix for myself is up for debate
I know i said I'd do it before christmas but i've been doing plenty of hard drinking

I am grabbing it from there as I type. Had to try twice though.
Can't wait BTW , your mixes are mint.

Okay I have listened to this twice now and very closely at that. The first 3/4 of this was very very controlled IMO. The transitions were too long for my taste and it all sounded very calculated and clinical. FOr this style of mix I am listening for suprises and some anger and attitude and I heard none of that in this mix until the closing tracks. That vocal track went forever and was a very ordinary track.

FOr me it sounded like an exercise in showcasing what Ableton can do and was less about the music which is a shame as I have always enjoyed your mixes.

Dirty things up a bit and add a few suprises to keep my attention next time.

Cheers.

C.

to be honest with you fella, I was listening to it yesterday, and with the exception of the first transition, I agree with you 100%
Sinner in me is a cracking tune, but it's not one for home listening.
new mix up at the weekend, and I promise to kick the shit out of it
