Love Poundin' Sensation

the life of the underground afterhours will never be the same.

it seems like i spent half of my life in this place. too many memories to recount, insane 11hrs of dancing fridays & saturdays. the sickest techno of all times and the most spiritual deep prog nites. like i said in the mtl thread...i lost my heart & soul there. ...

RIP my ARIA family & the MOFO CREW!!!!, my playground, my living room of wicked times, my dancing temple & my meccha.

ooooh when we were young! hehehehe! ... part of the MOFO CREW ~ this is where it aaaaaaaaaaaaall began & history was made

Taha, Philippe (aka Philou ), Malek (our ueber-afters photographer), Mazen (aka the man behind Preach)

Nice pic
I miss those guys.

Definitely sad to see the place go but to be honest I think it is a bit overdue, that place started to go downhill quite some time ago.
5 years for any club is impressive though.. RIP

Ahhhh Aria you will never make me forget my Montreal Story.......

Posted by Jem_hadar on Dec-18-2006 22:44:

Ill never forget out NYE 2004 there... a night full of so many unexpected events and turns of fate... Fred the couch! Wow.

I really enjoyed the club, and yeah, the DJ both was beyond cool... as were the sweet little lights they had in the floors too!!

I liked this club. I'd kill to travel back in time to 2004 and re-hear that 6+ hour preach set now (with my new found massive appreciation for techno which simply didn't exist within me back when I heard him then! )

RIP Aria. Your legend lives on regardless.

Jem

Such a great pic. I miss them all as well.

And they really did have the best DJ booth around Margs, I agree.

Jen I didn't know you were there for tiesto that weekend...so was I

Posted by StereoPrincess on Dec-19-2006 02:28:

Jenn and Sarah, I was there too that night. lol!

Posted by magikb on Dec-19-2006 02:33:

hahaha.. I don't even think I was a TA yet. Well I was just a lurker at that time so I wouldn't have known either of you.

but of course you were there Sarah..
Babs was there that night and believe it or not, cuz I drove and was pissed at Tiesto having such a shitty set that night; I left early.

lol... that sounds funny.
we have Chrodger to thank for this partially though

I think our true bonding time was dancing in their livingroom to TIC 1 though... how could we NOT stay friends after that moment.

the best set i have ever heard in my life was at aria. some of the best nights that i have ever had out were there. i'll miss the way it was when it was good (not the way it was the last time i was there this past summer).

that traitor waited for his Canadian passport then left for holland

Posted by mickmack on Dec-19-2006 06:05:

i have been to aria 3 times... once for preach, once for dj dan, and once for tiesto w/ mistress barbara... it is the only afterhours i have been to in montreal.

i really hope that there is another club that can fill that spot for my montreal visits. i have heard ALOT of good things about stereo, so i think that will be my next venture.

so farewell aria. one of the many reasons why i have always loved montreal.

afterhours should be the last thing on your mind when coming to town

I think he's on the path to legalization actually... he complains to me about the Dutch classes he has to take.. hehe
It will be nice to see him a bit more often when I move there in March.. 'cause he won't be back to Canada any time soon it seems.
