You slag off on America like you're some brilliant sociologist, but in reality the faux intellectual shit you spew is nothing more than distorted facts arranged in a manner to fit your personal anti-American agenda.

The problem is that you so clearly jump headfirst into accussations of "hysteria" that you fail to find any substantial support for your claim, subsequently your argument is instantly torn apart. This is followed by you getting defensive (just like in here) before eventually either deleting the thread or just leaving. It's a vicious cycle you've gotten yourself into on here.

If anything, it's you who's contributing to the pile of shit in here, not me.

Oh, and please do not confuse "logic" with "anger."

keep in mind that you are just perpetuating some of the stereotypes that people who don't live in america sometimes have about you guys.Thinking someone is anti american solely because they do not agree with everything about it is ludicrous and enforces that bullshit
"America is the best, fuck the rest" attitude that many people from abroad think you guys have.I've lived there and am planning on going back. Its not perfect, no country is.Don't take it so personally, as you sound like a semi intellectual redneck.

since you like logic so much, let's be logical....

SUPPOSE you are right, and all my threads don't amount to anything. But then, why would I be able to post this many headlines from the leading newssites and magazines in the first place? I'm not just stirring shit, but I'm posting headlines from the Society or Culture sections of the main American news outlets to start an interesting discussion on lifestyles or culture. People are more than welcome to disagree on these cultural issues - and there are many who agree with me.

It's easy to brush it off as overblown bullshit, but stories like this keep making headlines in America every day, so... I don't specifically look for anything, I just open up WashingtonPost and see these are front-page stories, and this indicates to me some kind of an interesting social change in America.

Are you saying the media has absolutely nothing to do with real life? I agree it's not reality, but it's at least some kind of a reflection, don't you think? Otherwise - what's their motive for rehashing all these culture wars all the time? Just to make money?

With regard to this story, if the vast majority of Americans had the same views as you and me, would all this ado happen in the first place?

lol dude you really don't even want to try to begin with me. not only are you taking my posts and tone completely out of context, the assumptions you've made about me, my attitudes, and what my posts say, are absolutely absurd.

Interesting is subjective, and reducing our culture down to the headlines on cnn.com is shortsighted and lazy.

No, you don't. You post the celbrity trash du jour and imply some greater social meaning in our celebrity obsessed medias discussion of sexual matters. You really never post anything that has to do with any valid social issue or injustice.

Yes & no. But the manner in which you tend to do it is completely out of context. You essentially posit lies here and expect us to believe them.

I honestly doubt the vast majority of Americans cared.

dude i don't think so...you are a very smart guy...unfortunatly that does not always make you right. Its only my opinion, and not meant to insult but you can be narrow minded at times.Just like i can be a nonsensical lunatic with a penchant for bad grammar and medicine made in a bathtub

I do. I post about abstinence policies, for example, and sex education around the world, among many other issues. This has nothing to do with celebrities.

If I posted a news article about America withdrawing aid for a third-world country because its Christian abstinence policy was not followed there, would you also accuse me of writing about a celebrity-obsessed culture?!

FYI I regularly post on political issues, but I do it in the Political forum. Here, I post about lifestyles and culture, not necessarily celebrities but just interesting social trends.

wolf blitzer taught me how to ride my bike...take it back you ******s

If MSNBC and Foxnews are the alternatives, CNN is watchable. But for myself, I get the BBC. Mainly because I would rather watch news about something international than a missing girl in Alabama.

But yes, the rare moments when CNN carries their International feed are the best.

Just born stupid I'd guess. If I believed in feeling bad for people, then I'd feel bad for them.
