Seriously, I wish you lots of luck with finding a place to live. I have been searching for a looooong time. I FINALLY found an amazing place in Roncesvalles (Dundas West area) and it's wikkid. I wanted to live in a bachelor apartment, but had be more realistic and stay with a married couple instead. I don't really mind though, because I am going to be living in a big 3 story house, and my bedroom has it's own bathroom, a private balcony, and even an elevator (lol). They wanted like $550 a month, but I talked them down to $450. So keep searching. And do NOT think that you can get a place for $300-$400. The only way you could get a place for $300 is if you rented a tiny bedroom in a house in Scarberia. Just be patient.

+1 and safe and filled with hard working well to do ppl, a few clubs a few mafioso but 300 dollars won't get you a night out.

edit: oh im sorry i didnt get what u were saying. I thought u were saying that the area is wicked. lol

I live in etobicoke, right beside islington subway. Its a pretty good area for immigrants cause everything is close including the subway so u can survive without the car.
My friend lives in a so so 1 bedroom apartment near me and he pays 800 a month + utilities.
My other friend used to rent a nice basement not too far for 450 a month - ive never been there but thats what he said.
U can get 2 bedroom for like 950 + utils in etobicoke in a sucky apartment if u find someone its gonna be something around 500 hundred... not bad if u ask me
Oh and if u dont mind to live in scarborough u can look for something there. In summer i used to work right beside main street subway, i used to work in the outdoor pool and the bulding that it belongs to is not that bad and they had junior 1 bedrooms for 700 including utilities and free parking for half a year. Sweet deal if u ask me, considering the fact that it was beside the subway. I guess 2 bedroom is something like 850 there (utilities included)
