Originally posted by Aristronica nice t-shirt... 69 ha ha that was funny when we'd talk about it back in 8th grade. moving on. tyas has a style and he's run it into the ground. i think the problem is that he can't get away from it and try to come up with more and fresher sounds than what he's already been doing. now that's not to say that it's bad or that others haven't played the same game before (Benassi comes to mind with the satisfaction synth) BUT there's only so many times one can stand the same "style" being put into different tracks. sean, as an artist, must realize that he should evolve himself and constantly redevelop as a producer. and not in the "throw it out the window" sense but more so "let's try something new today". AND big respect to the guy for going out on a limb and remixing classics. that's ballsy and i'm sure he knew a lot of old school peeps would totally go ballistic. ADD version: one or two tracks of the same remix is fine. more than that is just asking for it. ps - i'm drunk so this should make no sense.

Originally posted by Shade Err yes - to a far extent anyways. In any case I was simply pointing out the fact that comparing him getting a crowd to him making quality music/helping the scene is a ridiculous presumption. You simply put forth a really, really shitty argument in his defense.

He has skill, just seems to be using it in the wrong way imo.

did anyone else see me quote that guy twice???
completely drunk right now. that made me laugh!
the thing is that if Sean Tyas had came forward 5 years ago he would had a completely different response and some of his stull would be classed as "classics". But his sound is drown with all the hundreds of other producers which sound very similiar.

Originally posted by borgata so again, why is sean getting alot more work than other people?

Originally posted by RebeL9 a producer can be very creative and just spit out tunes. doesn't mean that he is great or so. also he attracts the new audience. alot of those who just got into trance. on the opposit alot more work also leads to a decline in production quality, which is the case in Seans productions.
