EDM is simple and upbeat, and that's what makes it "danceable" for most people. The cheesiest dance music is not pop sing-song stuff like Alice Deejay, but the kind that has pretensions to being much more than sound that will (hopefully) get a bunch of bodies moving in a club for a year or two, maybe inspire a few future producers, and then largely be forgotten by everybody but its creators and the relatively small long-term "scene" crowd.

So go ahead and dance.
