| Originally posted by deprivation I've heard that rumor on Howard Stern's show on Sirius, but they said a merger couldn't happen due to government rules. Supposedly when XM and Sirius got started, the government made a rule saying the two couldn't merge together. Not sure why and no one on the show knew why either. If someone knows, please post. I think it would be cool if they would merge to get even more shows. |
xm and sirius both provide "marine" service.
thats all i know.

It hasn't happened it has been talked about, but as it stands i don't see it happening .Also xm has just been sued by a few record labels for improper license agreements and allowing listeners to download songs onto their equipment
I will be running (engineering) a live broadcast for Sirius this Sunday from Nikki Beach at 10pm. I figure it will be for channel Area 33. Does anyone know which DJ will be spinning there? I looked on their site, and all they had is some show called "Invasion" that happens at exact time of the broadcast. Last time i worked for them, i was doing a broadcast from Griffin at the hard rock, with DJ Stonebridge spinning. I had super great time.
