i think that's just his persona. i mean, aside from the few outbursts in court, he was calm there too. and when they caught him - he was calm....didn't try to outrun/fight his way away from anyone [at least, i'm assuming so].

somehow, in his mind, showing that type of action at the very end would make people think less of him as a leader [or, rather, think less of him when he was a leader].

Showing that he's calm and all that, give the impression to people out there that he's still a man of power/will/etc...

that's my thoughts. weird video to watch, too.

dude basically they had no reason to execute him, his government was overthrown for no reason and a mock government was put in place instead. The country is fucked and its all the united states' fault

i would say for him its mission accomplished and he feels like hes a hero in his peoples eyes. Also he seems to be fairly religious so i bet he thinks hes going to heaven and he'll have his 72 virgins or what not.
