Yeah that was the perfect closer! I remember attempting to sing along and failing miserably, but loving every moment of it!

Damn, I left a few minutes before he finished, so I didnt hear the track. But I'll ask around and see if anyone knows what it is. I'll get back to ya.

Awww you missed OUT! Such a beautiful track! If you can figure out what it was you shall be my heroine!

I looked on Discogs and realized I don't even know the name of the original, so I guess that'd be a good place to start.

Not a HUGE Smiths/Morrissey fan, but they certainly have their moments... This was DEFINITELY one of them!

It just occurred to me that 3 ended with a remix of a track by the Smiths whose name I can't remember but it was the one that goes a lil' like this...

And if a two-ton truuuuuuck kills the both of uuuuussss
To die by your side, sumthin sumthin sumthin

I REALLY need this track. Anyone know the remix???

Help!!!

Thanks!

The original Smiths track is "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out". The track Three played was done in a different tempo and the vocals, as I recall, were female.

Hmmm thank ya very much! I'll have to look into this.

I think I've found it!

Josh Patrick remix...

Pretty much the original with a souless drum loop ( ) on top and a few extra robot noises here and there... Which, IIRC, and that's a BIG if, was how the one that 3 played went.

I do not believe that it was Morrissey singing on the track Three played. For whatever reason, I really thought it was a female vocal...

(click on the first track listed at the top of their my space page to hear it)

There is also this:

Royksopp / Earland Oye - There is a light that never goes out

Here's a download link to James Zabiela's Kiss 100 set from 2005 (the track starts around the 22 minute mark):

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

you can also hear a small snippet the Royksopp track here (though it's a different mix from that on Zabiela's set):

And as a last resort, you could go to: www.hallucination.com sign up for a message board account, and ask Three for an official ID.

Hope that helps.

You're probably right... Hell, even a deaf person would probably be a better judge than I at that point in the night.

Regardless of whether this is what he played, it's a damn good cover!

Are u serious? It's really slow. Can't imagine it being played at a club.

The Royksopp song on the Zabiela set is completely different than that one, plus I can't picture DJ Three playing it. (not his style)

I'm a little confused now.

He didn't mix into it or anything... Just got the "you gotta stop now" and threw it on while folks started to file out. But yeah, didn't fit into his set at all.

But still,
