I think you fail to realize the point of this topic.

without even reading any of the posts in this thread: Tiesto.

Now let me go through the previous 3 pages to see the exact same response

edit: guess I was half-right.

NOOOO TIESTO!!!!

...

I could safely tell you, being in the DJ booth with my friends throughout the entirety of his set, that Danny did not train-wreck ONCE.
He was actually the first DJ to save everyone's ears and turn down the bass as that was his first observation as soon as he took over.
There were many complaints prior depending on your spot in the stadium, the reverb was horrible on the floor and gave the impression of very unprecise mixing. Danny is of the more technically sound djs I have seen this year and can assure you he knows what he is doing.

NO BENASSI!!!

im sorry, i dont like him at all... saw him a few times and god did he sucked

Well, in '05 Benassi was a trainwreck 100 percent, man i truly hope that guy doesnt even step near BEB, he shouldnt be allowed in even to sell water!

Posted by Bertuzz on Jan-05-2007 06:28:

we all know there's gonna be a hugely commercial DJ a la Tiesto or Benny B or something to attract the crowds. Given the success of selling out Resolution (and then some), the promoters aren't stupid even if it doesn't make us "elitists" happy.

Posted by Spin Laden on Jan-05-2007 15:34:

I think the promoters are idiots if they focus on making money just for that night and not beyond. That's not how you do business. Good business entails bringing ppl back as well.

Isn't this what Big parties are about? Arn't the huge events all about marketing and big names and just an overall good time?

Posted by Spin Laden on Jan-05-2007 17:04:

Well lets just get MC Mario and Chris Sheppard then, to hell with keeping the underground scene quality, properly managed and unique

the last thing you wanna be thinking is that you're at a bigger version of your typical nightclub when you're at a massive.

Posted by Neo Hacker on Jan-05-2007 17:34:

Please, no Benassi !

well yeah, but should they be?

Posted by Cosmic Fur on Jan-05-2007 20:56:

I dunno where you guys are planning on finding 12,000 people that have the same eclectic tastes as you EDM-elitists up in TA.

Big parties need big crowds, and big names bring big crowds. Hence big parties will always have big names. It's not rocket science. Just because YOU are tired of Tiesto doesn't mean the other 11,900 people are too.

Posted by Zeidoo on Jan-05-2007 21:00:

^^^^^ Oh shit... he's right.

Let's really bring Les Cowboys Fringants.

Hey Dima, my gf forgot their cd in my car... wanna taste of them?

Posted by Spin Laden on Jan-05-2007 21:23:

I like Tiesto when I'm driving, sometimes on the computer or cleaning the apt, but not at a dirty Montreal massive.

Just because the idiots are winning, doesn't mean they're right

there was but never mind.. dont worry i party to cheese as well...

david guetta @ opera ftw.. so fucking drunk!

Posted by SummerWolf on Mar-14-2007 07:16:

was digging in the old threads...

most of our wishes got granted...

except we ended up with deep dish again

Posted by Spin Laden on Mar-14-2007 12:19:

yeah, to me that's the only faux pas here. Lineup is marginally better than last year, imo. No Guetta and IM, but Fanciulli wasn't booked and he was excellent. I'm looking forward to SVD at a massive.

Now if Deep Dish can only drop a decent set after their first hour...
