Nice kick, cool percs.
The vocals are cool, I like the processing on them. Some issues with pronunciation, but it doesn't really bother me.
I think the chord progression could be better. The vocals sound a bit off at places partly because of that.
The bassline sounds off key when it comes in. I expect it to be D instead of A due to the synths in the intro.
Overall I like this track.

Posted by coldblack on Jan-08-2007 10:31:

I quite like this. It has good vocals and melodies.
I like the pattern at 4:20. Keep em coming.

Posted by Sunclyder on Jan-08-2007 20:40:

Not Bad

Nice vocal nice instruments in this tune but i don't like bassline

Overall is very good

Greetings
Karol

That would actually fit! I dont think I will change it though, would sound weird because of that everything else is based on that A, inclusive Akias song. Thanks for hearing that though, really sharp.

And zoric, it was quite alike that track, but not the so alike the melody. Just the way it's used.. Pretty simple way too use a lead

Posted by Speactra on Jan-08-2007 22:40:

Thanks mate Don't know about the bassline though, dont think I've heard it before..

Posted by Speactra on Jan-08-2007 22:45:

Maybe Haven't changed the bassline since that clip so thats possible

It doesn't sound terrible, it sounds more like you get some good expectations about it and then get a bit dissapointed because the potential it had.

Though, I believe this is very good because you've only recorded 3-4 tracks, so props for that

..and don't give up!

Posted by Andrew_L on Jan-09-2007 00:48:

wow wow wow!

Loved the haunting nature of the vocals, reminds me of Miriam Stockley if you are familiar with her (she was the vocalist behind the "Praise" song "Only You", remixed by Atlantis, "Fiji" I think it is called.

The production and general track was nice, but certain elements did stick out for me, mainly the bass line. Saying that though, it flowed well and kept my intrest from start to end.

Nice work!

Andrew

Gonna check this one out m8, really like Akia's voice

Posted by coldblack on Jan-09-2007 06:44:

Im a sucker for this kind of angelic female vocals in trance.

Posted by Akia on Jan-09-2007 10:08:

Yeah you right Zoric, I still have much to learn.

Andrew, jupiterone, coldblack ...I just cant stop smiling Thanks!

Oh, I have to check who Miriam Stockley sounds!

Posted by NTT1 on Jan-09-2007 12:38:

Really nice track! Like that atmosphere, proggy bass and synths. Good singing, but sometimes a little of key, so work on that.
Good work!
By the way, check out my latest track

Posted by Takkra on Jan-09-2007 17:16:

I wonder how i've missed this track .

hehe.. first of all the artists say speactra feta. akia... (feta is a greek kind of cheese )
-------
ANYWAY
-------

kick is a little too boomy, snare is nice and crisp.

nice dry hihatline.

great atmosphere after the bassline comes in.

hey.. Akia you sound nice!!

I wonder what you sound like when you talk ..

______
anyway
------

vocals work nice on the rest of the track!

too bad Akia doesn't sing that much in the break..

nice how the filtered melody comes in

chilled and driving climax!

4:20.. a bit early to build down like that don't you agree?

I like the percussions that come in after that

4:52 her voice sound really nice there.

second break.. nice pad

I like the talking.. but what do you say ?

track continues nicely..

good outro..

you made a great track the both of you !!

Posted by sterilis on Jan-09-2007 18:54:

seems to have got a good response in a few days so definately had to check it out.

nice proggy feel from the beginning

bass doesnt seem to fit the track imo. i personally would change that.

the vocals well akia you have improved alot from the last track i heard you singing in. the sound is much clearly now and appealing to the ear.

liked the breakdown melody. this track is crying out for an uplifting remix. the vocals and melodies would fit perfectly.

nice listen guys

well done!

Posted by Akia on Jan-09-2007 19:50:

Thanks for your rewiev NTT1 ! I will absolutely check your track!

LOL cheese?! Thats great ! Thank you Takkra for your words, Im really flattered !

You can find the whole lyrics in the first page but the talking means "It is you - Or me".

Thanks Barry! Both me and Speactra have worked hard with the vocals, glad you like it !

I have listned to Praise - Only You now and I dont think I have Miriams strong voice, but I can see what you mean !

Given that she has been a professional singer for many many years you ain't doing too badly!

Posted by Akia on Jan-09-2007 23:29:

Thanks!

Posted by Speactra on Jan-10-2007 00:09:

Thanks all!

Too bad some of you don't like the bassline. I can see what you mean, it's not the regular bassline for this kind of a track, but I made it just as I wanted it too be, so I cant change it. It's just the way I like it now...

and I know it's feta spelled it wrong there.

Thanks for the kind words everybody, and NTT1, I'll definitly check out your track

Posted by Storyteller on Jan-10-2007 00:26:

Again posting under Storytellers name.

In overall nice track, I really like the vocals. I can see them fit just perfectly into my own tracks. :P

You should really replace the kick, it isn't energetic or powerfull. The kick determines for like 70% the power in a track.
It also sounds kinda lofi to me, I think you should spend some more time at equalising and adjusting the sound levels. It will sound way better.
Again the use of good quality samples will also improve the sound.

The melody doesn't touch me. The chords are fine but you change them every bar. Some people like it that way, I do not.

But again in overall nice track, really great vocals and the synth work is good.

Best of luck,
Thomas.

Posted by Akia on Jan-10-2007 21:55:

Thanks Thomas! Im glad you like it overall .

Nice...

The bassline sounds a bit boring though and Akia needs to put some more emotion to her singing. You sound a bit static like a robot, just try to moan and scream a bit more

Overall it's a good track! Really reminds me of some Stephanie Vezina songs which i adore...

Posted by Akia on Jan-11-2007 12:28:

Actually I sang it that way just to catch the right emotion. Its about a person who have almost given everything up and no screaming is left. I thought the high note vocal in the break would make it less monoton. Maybe its not enough. Im glad you like it anyway, thanks for your rewiev!

I have to check up a Stephanie Vezina song!

Posted by seventyseven on Jan-11-2007 13:10:

Hi! Very good track :-)
Good music and professional sounds... but I think that vocal should be more expressive and dynamic... hmmm...
and I think that text is too difficult for average-listener... but is my point of view...
By the way GOOD JOB!

Greetz!
