Pages (6): « 1 [2] 3 4 5 6 »
actually he opened up a soccer school In LA and one NY city. he made this move mid summer i cant believe ppl are just hearing abt this now. anyways hes coming to the MLS to be closer to his business
Oh they'll care a looooooooot about him. But the interest won't attach to the sport, because in pure terms of footballing skills Beckham won't amaze anyone.

Posh might start singing... and I use the term singing very generously there and they'll probably deport them in short order, someones going to feel jipped about paying $250mil for a broken footy player though
The Welsh do have a sense of humour, heres a funny one about the Beckhams.

| In a further controversial incident in 2005, GLC were invited by the Football Association of Wales to perform before the World Cup Qualifying match against England at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the nature of the band's music and the participation of England star David Beckham, the band dedicated "Your Missus Is a Nutter" to the footballer about his wife, who was present at the match. The ensuing furore, with the Welsh football authorities having to apologise to the Beckhams as well as expressing outrage at the band's perceived lack of respect, prompted many people to question exactly why the organisers had hired them to play in the first place. |
The contract is ridicolous, Indeed
its all about the money!

She would of made the decision to move to attempt to be famous in another country, I hope you get to see her on interviews and hear her sing, she's an attention whoring talentless **** too. |
like i said in my previous post which u all failed to read. hes been planning to come here for over a year now, because he opened up two soccer schools and wants to live by them.
im not defending the guys skill, imjust saying all this talk abt it being posh's decision is bs.

| Originally posted by Vivid Boy of course not. theres more money in the US and posh can get more publicity here but all jokes aside, if u were putting up a brand new school in another country wouldnt you want to be there during start up? and if there was a league slowly on the rise you could help by making this decision to move there wouldnt you? also hes not the only world renowned soccer player coming to the MSL next year. keep your eyes open for ronaldo and maybe vieri oh and btw i didnt make the MLS cuts this year |
yep its what happens to a football star once theyre past their prime but still have a strong commercial following. pele joined the new york cosmos a bit before retiring too.
obviously im not comparing beckham to pele but you get the point
who is this beckham?

Dunno how he can sleep at night with hundred dollar bills coming out his ass. 50 mill a year to kick a ball around...what a sorry state this world/country is in...
Man, the people of England will now be talking shit about him for centuries to come.

posh is gonna live on rodeo dr.
Don't get me wrong he's not a bad football player, he not great but good. But what he is, is a GREAT product! When he was at Man U he used to pay double his wages through all the tat that got sold because of him. He opens up new markets, female markets and more, good at getting press too.
He isn't as dumb as people say either he used to change his hair all the time so he'd get paid for the "new shots".
I mean no one is worth what he's going to get but I'll bet he takes a fair bit of wedge back in product sales and so on.
