Speaking of scary reptiles, I wouldn't want to encounter one of these:





Komodo dragons grow to about ten feet long. They're not poisonous, but their mouths are so infested with bacteria that in the wild they bite animals, wait for them to succumb to infection, and then attack as they're dying. Nasty.

One of their prehistoric predecessors, Megalania prisca, was fifteen to twenty feet long and probably weighed about 1200 lbs. If it were around today it would probably be making meals of just about everything.

I love Komodos. Those things can run pretty fast, for their size too!

Yeah, they just look 'odd', not ugly or anything and damn they move like lightning bolts! Apparently some people in places like the US keep them as pets, personally I dont really want to share a house with some half-tame predator liable to flip out, outrun and kill me.
Having it bite the local dogs, probably eat the smaller ones and chew on the noisy, slower moving kids though... thats just got to be priceless!
