Yeah Pjotr, ATB's studio is really strange... it wouldn't work for electronic music...

I doubt that's where he makes his tracks. I think he just uses that place to master & record his stuff. When you make cheese, you make more money. So he can afford that extra studio to show off

Hi locutox, are you another Australian producer?

Posted by McBigMac on Apr-30-2002 16:15:

Cygnetic records has an extreme studio!!

But their music sounds oldskool, i dont think theyve produced in sometime cept goa tracks.......

If you released all those trance tunes about 6-7 years ago theyd be monster heroes, that is what trance sounded like before all your ferry corsten and tiesto, AvB, Vincent de moore, KAy tracid, gielen, svenson people came......
I kinda like some of their tracks reminds me of my old rave/trance compilations .

But that still proves its the person thats still the master of the music, not the equipment he uses.
Like many people complained like in the "Who are you producers thread".....

Really dig some of their acid tracks too.......oldskooooooool!

avb's studio is the dream studio

Posted by Michael Russo on May-11-2002 13:07:

Wow..... avb's studio is incredible. I love the way it's set up... the desk with the rack on it, the dj booth.............

Posted by DJ Chrono on May-11-2002 18:24:

hmm. looks pretty decent. but what on earth is a Dateq XTC mixer? never heard of it. looks like the ugliest mixer I've ever seen, you think he could afford a better one Anyways, I like it when the turntables and mixer are flush with the desk surface, its crazy..

anyways, check out Blank and Jones' Spacedust Studio. cant post the pics in here, cause its a 3D Quicktime view. amazing setup they've got.

er, dateq mixers are pro. lots of clubs 'n shit have them.

Posted by Michael Russo on May-12-2002 00:30:

Armin's studio is 5 by 4? 5 feet by 4 feet? There's no way....

you're telling me alot of clubs have those hideous mixers ? how on earth could they be any more pro than a nice Vestax or Pioneer mixer?? they've got like half the features, and are designed like they're from the 80's

Hahaha, dumb me... Where I live we only use the metric system, but I've never heard someone say 5 by 4 and mean 5 metres by 4 metres, so I automatically thought it was feet because that's what the Americans say...

Posted by DeZmA on May-13-2002 18:22:

Dj Chrono your only reason why you say it's crap is because it's appearance does not look good for you The faders and knobs are WAY more decent than pioneer and vestax.. the sound quality is pro. Do you need anything more? (Another remark : Although I have a pioneer myself I am sick of those wanna-B newbs with their pioneer mixer who CONSTANT put the flanger effect on and think they are up with the best until they do a beatmix, then it sounds like they are spinning D&B ). There is a reason why Avb uses the Dateq.. BTW I believe the XTC mixer is about the price of the pioneer mixers.

Posted by DJ Chrono on May-13-2002 22:44:

The XTC is about $1000 canadian. I must admit it must have very high end sound quality for being that expensive, with hardly any other features. But personally if I was a huge name DJ like him, I'd get something that looks (and is) alittle more substancial. I am sure these mixers hava equal or better sound quality to that, with nicer knobs, and just looks so much better.

R1-Premium

XONE464

and of course the stanton VRM-10.

Just being curious here, but how much (in dollars) does all that equipment cost in AvB's studio
????
