Me too.

But more often than not,

Im going with a small, more intimate (dirty, and dark!) venue.

(But I need to experience a "new" "big venue" ... � la something fresh in Montreal that I havent been too, or an arena in Europe!

I agree it really does, I loves my small parties because i'm less likley to miss the headliners but sometimes large venues are necessary for parties when you have different types of music playing.

Going BIG all the way!!! I love the stadium parties but what's also cool is having a variety of big and small rooms like Guv in TO or Avalon & Webster Hall in NYC! That way you get to party your ass off in the main room but when you want to lounge and chill you can do so in the smaller rooms which usually have seating/rest areas.

They give you a chance to really get to know your DJs, as well as to meet people who are actually there for the music and to have a good time.

Sometimes it feels like Guv is filled with too many tourists and "beautiful people" who are only there because of Guv's status. When it's a good night and Guv isn't PACKED they fade nicely into the background, but when Guv is rammed these people get on my nerves.

First time I saw Tiesto at the Warehouse, we gave him a "standing" ovation and he actually had to stop spinning and come out and take a bow! He couldn't ignore 1000 people! The feeling was electric!
And dancing my brains out to funky house at the VIP room at System was always a guaranteed good time...

with me it really depends, both are good.
when i really just want to party and dance like crazy all night long and im in a reaaaally social mood, large venues are awesome, lots of space, crazy energy and a ton of people.

but sometimes i just like going out with my close friends and partying with them while listening to some good music...perfect for smaller venues.

agreed i was just telling sum1 that last night... for that dirtier vibe u need a smaller club... i dont think i've ever really enjoyed a house party at the guv... its just too damn big for house... gotta have a smaller + darker club for that.
