korg zer4 is $1299... anyone heard any reviews comparing this to the a&h? hopefully will purchase over the summer! w00t!

Zero8 is extremely hot but I still can't see me using all that shit. I can barely use everything on the 3D as it is. That backlighting is sick as shit though.

how good would the effects be on the zero4 compared to a djm 400?

Posted by Stu Cox on Mar-25-2007 16:31:

Zero 4 for me please... looks like they're about 750 over here.

Anyone wanna buy my DN-X1500?

sorry for the bump but when the hell is this expected to be out ?

been waiting for a god damn long time

+1 - I really, really think I'm liable to trade in the Xone for a Zero4 once I get some initial impressions/a chance to play on it.

VU meters, color coded backlight = teh sex.

the 11-EQ selector is tight too. Kaoss-style effects touchscreen.. looks fucking nice.

I would go as far as saying better. Since I havent tried it yet I will reserve judgement but I will say that Korg has established their brand in the pro audio market for years.
They are makers of DSP digital synths that are used on platinum selling top-40 records.
The triton for example is industry standard in hip-hop and pop.
So they would have a ton of money to spend on developing fxs algorithms that are unique to their product line. It wouldnt cost them anything to use those algorithms in a different product being a different synth or a different mixer.

And if this is the case you can expect those fxs to be oozing with quality!

Ecler have been making stuff for donkeys too - they started in the mid 60s and have always been a very strong reputable brand.

Here I mean 'donkeys years' i.e. a long time - they haven't actually been making audio equipment for donkeys to use... that would be ridiculous

I am not sure what you mean but I guess a lot of it just gets lost in translation.

i just wish the zero4 has send/returns

I just got my first EVO5 prototype last week, and so far, its SIIICK! I havent played with the Korgs much, so I cant say which is "better" but I do beleive they each have their own place and their own style. Theres some more info on the EVO webpage www.evobyecler.com

So far, I'm really diggin it!

Posted by AndreiD on Jul-29-2007 08:56:

Like all the Ecler Mixers, the EVO5 is quite a sick pieace of kit.

Sorry, I misread your post and thought you were comparing the Korg mixer to the Ecler Evo (as that's what the post before you was talking about)...

Yeah I agree the fx on the Korg probably sound better than the Pioneer mixers.
