Joshua tree is right around the corner - one of the best natl parks around.

I'll be driving to Cali if I go (only 12 hours away) - I want to camp so I'd be bringing gear with me, etc and its so close to the festival that it'd be worthwhile to camp - $45 for 4 nights (includes parking) and I'd also make a vaca out of it.

I am driving from Denver, CO area. Probably take I-70 over the Rockies and then various routes to arrive at Indio. From previous goers, 12 hours is average for the drive. I def will go to Joshua Tree for a day or two if I make this trip - never been and 30 miles away ain't bad.

It's a desert climate so it gets chilly at night, warm as heck in the daytime - even end of April. Camping will be excellent because it'll be nice and cool at night. And they have free showers, etc for you to use and within walking distance of the festival. It seems like they have a decent set up from previous reviews.

Yes you can believe it, you take it in the bum, remember?

I would travel great distance to see Rage again.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do my best to do this, as all I have to do is take the friday off and fly friday morning.

If people are flying in and need to camp, I can bring extra gear with me for it - I have more than enough tents, sleeping bags, etc at my disposal.....

I have been checking hotel rates, and are crazy expensive already. ~$100 USD per night per person. I might go and camp this. Arcade Fire! The rest is just gravy. RATM I saw at Varsity Arena; too bad I was wearing sandals that day!

Denver, CO to Indio, CA or die trying, lol

I am going to buy the camping ticket ASAP as those are more limited and more likely to sell out, as I see it.

Yeah, I think I'm in for this. I will trade Sven Vath in May for this - Bjork's held my attention for far longer and I adore a good roadtrip/adventure.

Haha! Plane tickets are only 384 taxes inc. from Calgary. I don't see why I wouldn't go.

There were rumors that The Police would make this one of their stops on the heavily rumored reunion...very disappointed they aren't on the bill.

Still interesting but seeing The Police would have make it a no brainer.

The COachella message boards are still bantering the idea around that they'll get added to the bill at a later date.....but those are the rumor boards. They think they would take over the headline on Sat night.

Regardless, the Police tour - I'm there.
