I finding keeping my bedroom door open for air circulation helps.
Not enough sex at your place. You need more sex. Hot steamy sex would take care of that problem.
Now get to work!
re: what Ania said about res - had exactly the same problem with the heater, so opening a window a bit helped a lot
now living in an apartment, i also find living a tiny gap for air circulation, even when it's cold outside is pretty good... otherwise i placed a couple of glasses of water around the room and my closet which also has a heater
from what I heard humidifiers are not that great in general, so I wouldn't leave them on constantly
i know what you mean. i feel like i've been suffocating lately with the heat on. so i do this:
1. slightly open window for some fresh air
2. keep a tub of Nivea night body lotion with me at all times
3. Purified sea water nasal spray
4. lots of Labello lip balm
5. drink lots of water. i drink about 3-4 bottles a day (even though i hate drinking water. bleh.)
i had the humidifier on tonite but it made it worse. the best is to sleep in the cold. just get a nice thick but light goose down feathered duvet - from downunder for example, and you're set. they have great deals there. a queen sized one for $100.

a fantastically random thread!!!...I dispise the stale dry clammy air of an enclosed house in the winter.
I simply use a humidifier it generally works, frankly they suck alot. And then I turn off ALL sources of heat.
before you go to bed cream your face, especially around your nose and get the glass of water.
I have the same problem.
my place has baseboard heating... and it gets too cold if i turn it down. I got one of those cool air humidifiers.. doesn't work that well.. i still wake up with my nose and throat all dried up.
some nights are worse then others... and some are terrible!
humidifier. they arent that expensive.
just make sure you keep it clean and dont OVER RUN it or you will get mold in some spots cause the humidity will be to high.

Too bad your place doesnt have a programable thermostat, so you could set the temperature to go down at night while you are sleeping, and you could have your place all warm for when you wake up !

submerse your face/head in a bucket of water for 5-10 minutes (or more depending on how much hydration is needed). if bucket is not available, toilet can be used as a substitute.

Wear light cotton gloves when going to sleep.
Use an alcohol free mouthwash.
Go over every window, crack, doorway with sealant, caulk, weather stripping. Is there a fireplace? Make sure the damper is closed.
Is the humidifier working properly? Is it running for long enough? Or does it run and shutdown after a few min thinking the humidity is fine?
