Hello!

I mp3 mix on MP-3000F... It's so cool because when you mix
from one side to the other, the only thing that happens is
that the songs slowly change speaker as you scroll... Now,
you might think like, "wtf is that" but the thing is, if
you've got only one sound card, you plug out the left
speaker and you can listen in your headpheones to hear the
othar track!!!! In other words, YOU DJ AS YOU DO WHEN IT'S
REAL!!!!!

Posted by E-Trancer on Mar-29-2001 16:52:

so where can we d/l it ?

Be Cool!

hi
maybe you know this program for a long time, but I like it very much: it's VTT, virtual turntables, you can get it at www.carrotinnovations.com
it also has the feature to listen to one speaker and play the 'master' out of the other, very nice i think, but i haven't tried traktor or mixmeister, so i'm going to try it out
c ya

I used to use traktor a whole lot.. hell i still do.. but its still irritating how sometimes some tracks wont get auto beatmatched.. there are still some glitches in that program. I wish it had the option of also doing manual beatmatching, the pitch controll is imposible to deal with manually.

Also i noticed with traktor you cant get a perfect beatmatch using the sync button.. your gonna have to use your ear a bit and press the up and down keys to pitchbend the tracks your mixing in in order to have flawless beatmatching occur.

What i really like about traktor tho is that you can actually use the equalizer like a real mixer !

use the width and low cut.. its really nice, and even you can use the treble mid and base. and hteres barely a delay!

I still am scheptical about auto beatmatching.. even tho its just a technicallity manual beatmatching is still much more reliable.. unless you use atomix, the most accurate auto beatmatchign system ive seen so far, but good luck cuing with that shit.. you might as well dj without headphones.. but hey oakenfold does that shit
haha

just my 2 cents

The thing I like the most about TRAKTOR is the waveform which lets you mix (cue and stuff) with only pair of headphones. And it's beatmatching system is much better than the others -- and believe me, I've tried a lot of programs.

Oh, and TRAKTOR DJ Studio 2.0 is going to be released next month.

atomixmp3 is a nice app in a lot of ways... but i find that it drifts... badly in some cases. and no, i'm not using any of the auto-beatmatching stuff, I know how to beatmatch properly!

basically, it seems it doesnt lock the pitch very well and tends to drift too much when the BPMs get over about 145... so it's terrible for hardhouse mixing. my tables are far more accurate.

the concept is awesome... cant wait till they clean up the sound engine some more...

i'll think i'll stick with my technics for now :P

welcome to the reason trakor is a PIECE OF JUNK

it makes atomixmp3's autobeatmatch look golden, and its bad also. at least with atomixmp3 the pitch can be controlled +/-0.1 % via the keyboard.

i dont know why traktor is so popular. i couldnt even bring myself to want to deal with it!

plus the POS wont use my external mixer.

Question sooo.... what now?

finally, what prog is recommended then?

Question

yo...???

Posted by JohnSmith on Jul-14-2002 02:26:

Virtual Turntables is, imo, the best program for djing.

no autobeatmatching crap, easy to use interface, skinnable, keyboard controlable (and you can map your own keys), doesn't drift

it supports two or more soundcards so you can use it with an external mixer, or with 2 sound cards, one for cueing in stereo, and one for output in stereo. even if you only have one card, you can cue in mono and output in mono, you just need to buy a $5 splitter from any electronics store.

you can get the demo here:
http://www.carrotinnovations.com

development on this program has been abandoned though.

there is a new program coming out soon, DTT, i think it will be even better than VTT.

you can read about it here, http://digitalturntables.co.uk
