Dude, it's not a big deal. I have asked a guy bartender for an orgasm (I AM NOT A SLUT, AND I AM TALKING ABOUT THE SHOT, NOT THE SEXUAL ORGASM!!) and he had no clue what it was. It took like 4 MALE bartenders to figure it out. And that's just one example.

So, technically I could be a loser and tell everyone that male bartenders are bad at their job.

Also,I hope you understand that if you asked for any of these drinks in a nightclub (such as Guv), then I honestly wouldn't expect the bartenders to know all of them.

One more thing:
I am not the bitch, YOU are!

exactly, I think you are very right

I mean Guv is not a place to sip on some posh cocktails and whatnot I'm sure they know the basic ones and don't bother with the rest

I wasnt talking about GUV, just in general.

AND if they know the basic ones then they shouldnt be behind the bar, and YES i am fulling aware that GUV or any nightclub for that matter hires bartenders based on attractivness and not brains (for the most part, not all).

Exactly! The basics: beer, shots, or simple drinks (such as vodka and cranberry juice) are served on a regular basis. You can't expect a bartender at a nightclub to know how to make you an absinthe curacao frappe!

ill agree with you on that one but basic and old school drinks should be in their vocab.

in order to hire a professional bartender they'd have to pay them way more, which means the drinks would be pretty pricey as a result

the girls who work in your regular clubs probably learn as they go along

but I'm not sure about it... what I know that a place which offers me an extensive drinks menu should be able to mix a drink not on the menu, but clubs aren't such places

they dont have to be a pro. all they have to know is the 100 most requested drinks and they are set.

A lot of the time its not just having the drinks memorized but having an idea of whats in it. For example a gimlet will always have triple sec and bar mix, or a sour will include bar mix.
