I'm running Vista on my laptop too...nice stuff.
Sticking with XP Pro for now. Vista's a bit too swollen at the moment, and I don't quite trust it just yet.
Vista's DRM is like getting assfucked by an elephant. So Dirk might enjoy it in the end.
Vista means I pay money for something that's harder to use and artificially limits what my computer can do (borderline illegal DRM, etc). Not only DRM, but networking and related code and the normal Windows "Microsoft technically owns your computer now" kind of monopoly shit that they build into their software makes me distrust it a lot. Not to mention that the major intended bonuses (new HDD file system, blah blah) by and large didn't make it into the OS because Microsoft sucks dickwang at programming. All in all, it spells a big NO THANKS in my book, I don't plan to "upgrade" until something happens that makes it absolutely necessary.

OS/X is unix based. So I added it to the top of my list.
Now come to the darkside, bitches!
I have OSX on my laptop. Never been too impressed with it. I'd say the only thing impressive about OSX is being able to use the tty err console.
Of course I'm definitely not impressed with Vista either.
