A good friend of mine makes tables for Bodog.com and gave me a shitload of freebie passes worth $100. If anyone is interested i can give them some passes when i get home.

I use to play online all the time like 2-3 years ago for fun money too ppl don't bet like do for real money so it's not good practice

I'd be interested. I've never played on bodog.com before. I tried a couple years ago, but back then, it was only available to Americans. But if you have any left, i'd appreciate it.

It's just not POKER unless it's real money.

I've definitely had my share of losing real money both online and at the casinos. However, this past Wednesday was just awesome at Niagara Fallsview's poker room. I won $475 playing 1/2 no limit and went to Sundowners before catching Benny Benassi's set at Dragonfly.

there are TWO surefire ways to really get to know someone
1. live with them
2. play poker with them

both bring out a person's true personality!

If they were bots though, that would be easier, cause then you could systematically figure out how they play.

But becareful. There's lots of scams out there. Ie, you sit at a table and all of the other players know each other and are talking on the phone/or msn about their cards and stuff like that.

I also think on some sites that their random card generating programs are bogus...

Me and my friends have concluded that there is some sort of positive random card generator for new players. It seems like we always are on a huge roll when we sign up w/ new accounts, and then after a while, everything goes down hill.

This could be a coincidence...but it has happened way to often to us.

It is a good way to get players to keep playing and stuff like that, and attract new players... but still...it seems a little fishy.

i think so as well. whenever i cash in, i always go on a good run but lose it for a bit but then come back. like on jungle, i cashed in with $60 i was up to 110, then went dry and dropped to $40 then now im at 330... i think its a way to get rid of the fishies and make them keep cashing in.

the cards you get are completely 100% random.... on pokerstars i know this at least. I suggest playing online poker for real money though because it is the only way to improve your game. People know that ultimately play money means nothing, so they don't give a crap about what they push with, etc. I'm looking to improve my heads-up game though, so PM me if you are interested in playing against me on pokerstars. havokddg is the tag I go by.

Has there ever been a TA Poker game? Like an official one? not just like TA friends playing together, but a huge tournament open to anyone?

I'd be willing to help set that up if there is demand. Something cheap, like $20 buy in...top 5 get paid or something (depending on how many ppl join I guess) etc.

But yeah, you can't play poker if its not for money...no skill can be learned from that. Like someone already said, even if its $0.01/$0.02 blinds...you can still learn something.

This sounds like a good idea to me

Hopefully I get a job soon in the GTA and move up there....if so I could even help set this up.
