Cubs would be stupid to not have a "non-injured" Mark Prior in their rotation... I'd say he's the #3 or #4 right now...

I use "non-injured" because I don't think Mark Prior will EVER be healthy again... sad but true...

Posted by denys envy on Mar-14-2007 13:51:

unless they figure out a way to attach a robotic arm to that shoulder and make Prior some kind of cyberobot pitcher from hell, i don't see Prior being healthy beyond a month's worth.

Obviously you guys haven't been paying attention. Mark Prior isn't even hitting 90 MPH this Spring. He's not making the rotation to start the season and it's quite possible that he's finished.

show off.

i remember that year when Santana blew up. I remember having Ben Sheets, Olivier Perez, Santana, and Pedro Martinez starting and Gagne and Iggy doing relief on my fantasy team.

lol, I really haven't, because who gives a shit about Prior, he's screwed so many people over in the past few years... I hope his career is over, but I'm afraid its not!

it is afterall, the cubs... they'll probably continue to beat him into the ground like Kerry Wood...

each and every year...

LETS GO YANKEES!

Posted by Spartan on Apr-02-2007 15:15:

Thumbs up

Mariners won. Hope they can put together at least a decent season this year.

Gil Meche seemed to earn his paycheck, at least for one day, as the Royals beat up on Schilling and the Red Sox, 7-1
Same couldn't be said for Alfonso Soriano

would you like to give him a cookie too?

how was his era last year.....? In his first full season... how many losses did he have?

yeah, thank you!

he didn't even get a sophmore slump, he had a freshman funk!

yeah he'll be 21 on sunday, but all the hype over the last 3 years, he hasn't done much for me to crown him anything!

My best buddy is a huge Mariners fan. I feel sorry for him. Queen Felix and a bunch of scrubs. Ichiro is good ok I'll grant that. Sexson the K king. Beltre isn't as bad as people say he is. Putz is money. That pitching staff.... not too impressive.

Yankees pitching doesn't look appetizing either. Real shaky! Gonna need Clemens pretty bad.

Grady Sizemore is supastar. Love Grady.

List of my favorite non yankees include him. Along with Vlad, Carl Crawford, Chase Utley, Vernon Wells (because his name is Vernon and he is a cool guy when you see him in person...

Rich Harden is gonna be huge this year if he stays healthy. Huge.

Lots of up coming young pitchers like Matt Cain, Cole Hamels.

Barroid looks a lot healthier. He's gonna break the HR record by July. What joy! NOT

Ryan Howard wears size 16 shoes

Posted by partyhopper on Apr-06-2007 14:41:

Dice-K's line at his MLB debut: 7 IP, 6 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 10 Ks, 108 pitches, 74 for strikes.

Ichiro will be the first batter he faces in his Fenway Park debut

I was in a bar yesterday and this dumb woman was like: "I wonder what his nickname will be, Roger Clemens was the Rocket, I wonder what Daiske's will be..."

I wanted to slap her... I hate Sox fans...

A-Rod finally comes through in a clutch situation, thanks to Chris Ray giving free passes to Jeter and Abreu with 2 outs in the 9th.
He sure looked quite happy as he rounded the basepaths for his walk-off grand slam.

But watch the fans at the Stadium start booing him again the next time he strikes out or drops a pop-up.

October my friend. October. It is only April 7th but it was kind of neat to see K Fraud with that huge grin today. I actually think he's gonna have a huge year.....knowing he's gonna be playing for the Cubs next year.

Posted by fmodena369 on Apr-08-2007 18:20:

and waht's considered a huge year to you? he always has good years!!!

that's what we call a breakout game for King Felix

* He struck Manny out on a 99 MPH fastball on the outside corner

* His last pitch was a curveball that seemed to go around 2,000 MPH

absolute nastiness all night long
