Well, I dont know of any headphones which isolate better, and I'd like to protect my hearing as much as possible!

yeah, they're brilliant until they crack. mine lasted a bit over 2 years. and if you like to protect your hearing, get earplugs.

I've been through 2 pairs of the Pioneers because my sister sat on them (TWICE!). I wouldn't say they're the most durable headphones out there...but then again my sister is a fucking fat ass.

Sound quality wise they're amazing though.
