oh all these rumors..... I wish PVD's manager or someone in charge was reading this thread and help us out because I'm tired of making road trips to go see him!

Posted by Zeidoo on Feb-15-2007 06:25:

He just doesn't like Toronto... or Canada for that matter.

It's ok... Tiesto does.

I have heard the promotional issue about PVD and guv as well.
The only other rumour stated from someone in an agency (very well could be a rumour), involved his politics.
Back in the Chretien days the relationship between US and Canada was getting a little nasty. PVD does a lot of little political benefits for the US and apparently he may have been bothered by some of the canadian headlines.

re: tiesto... the only parties he's been playing in Toronto are ones promoted by his management ie: GEM

Re: thee PVD story.. that's one of the most recockulous things i've ever heard.

PVD will not work with anyone he has not worked with before, and due to a spat, so im told, between him and the guv, that leaves 0 bookers to book him.

Hmmmz, how is that true? He was going to work with Temporal Rhythm but things went sour b/c of SARS...so are you 100% sure of him only working with who he's worked with before?

I hear he is afraid of the CN TOWER. TRUE STORY.

That comment has more credibility than some of the rumourmongering going in this thread

PS: PvD is really afraid of Xanta

Posted by locodawg on Feb-15-2007 19:57:

actually i heard PVD just thinks its annoying to see woodbridge genos jumping up and down ... and dudes balancing beer bottles on their forehead ...

So he has decide to only come back when all this stops

Lol Yes we have Sars. Still. I heard from Del about his last gig here he basically got the boot when he wanted to play a bit more from the club in a way that was 'not so nice', meh, if that's the only reason then he should learn to suck up stupid shit like that.

The rumor i had heard back in the day was that he had some billing issues with the Guvernment but i think its more complicated than that.

In any case, if you want to catch Paul in North America, then New York City is the place. Where else beside Berlin do you get to hear him spin for 6 hours.

exactly, road trips can be a pain in the ass and besides Im not that crazy about him, but I still want to see him.

why does he have to be so stubborn damn it

someone (other than Guv) should step up to the plate and take some initiative to bring him here, it could be well worth it, who knows...

Someone other than Guv HAS tried and was going to bring him if it weren't for sars he would've been here. It's just a matter of it happening again...someone has to step up to the plate and book him.

ok cool, at least someone is trying, there is some hope finally!

Posted by rubyriva on Feb-16-2007 13:24:

rather than speculating, why don't you send some emails?

Paul's management for North/South America:

will be leaving pittsburgh in about 5 hours to see paul tonight at crobar.

Hence that would make the rumour that he will be one of the opening DJs at club Circa in March more plausible
