Unhappy

oh wow, Jen how are you feeling today??

Posted by RobSt*r on Feb-17-2007 17:42:

Hey, was there some fat guy hanging around the front by the booth offering people water if they were sweaty and dancing?

Some dude was doing that last weekend when I played there. After I was done, he offered me water, he offered my girlfriend water, and others around him. Fuck he offered me water like 5 times, serisouly, FUCK OFF buddy.

I literally told him to beat it before I kick him in the teeth and I dont want YOUR fucking water asshole.

If I EVER catch ANYONE putting ANYTHING in ANYONE ELSES drink EVER, I will unleash a mother fucking fury on their ass.

Wow Jen, that's really messed up... I hope you're well and sorry to hear that happened to you. We'd like to think that it wouldn't happen in our club but the truth is, it isn't a private party there are people there we don't know so we have to be careful...

Hey Barry, just wondering what writing a letter to Gary is going to do?? Is the owner of a club of 2000 people going to see to it that the 10,000 drinks that pass through the venue each night are checked? As if he didn't know this nonsense doesn't and hasn't happened? C'mon, think it through.

His heart's in the right place, but yeah. I hardly think a letter would do a lot of good.

This isn't the first time this has happened to someone and certainly won't be the last time - It just makes us all a little more cautious when someone close to us becomes the target.

Moral of the story... don't ever leave your drink unattended.

There are new rules put into place, by law, as of last month with regards to this issue.

Im just trying to look out for future problems. This is the 3rd time this has happened to a friend of mine and noone seems to care about it.

If there are new rules in place I would think Gary would be aware of them.

I agree with Jer, you mean well Barry, but there's only so much one can do to control the idiocy of others. Are you going to e-mail David Miller if your buddy gets jumped at Jane and Finch walking home at 2:30 am? No, you're going to tell your buddy to not walk there at that time, because unfortunately you can't control what others do.

No i can't control what others do. But if my buddy got jumped at jane and finch id tell the cops that it happened. Same thing here. If he doesn't know he should know. Im not asking him to do anything about it, Im asking tell him what happened so that if suddenly this becomes a trend (or it has happened before and they had fixed the problem) then it can be solved.

hope your feeling better now cuz i would be so scared if that happened to me, thank god nothing life threatening came out of that

makes me think twice about purple room now...

I always have left my drink on the speaker when I have gone out for smokes... I guess that since it was only Jay James and I out of our crew there was no one there to watch over it.

I still feel like complete shit. I don't remember much of last night. Just being in the back of PR then standing outside, then throwing up outside of Jay's car, then being at home and waking up in the morning.

Thats fucked that it happens at all, how ever sporadic. I woke up this morning and I was wrapped in a towel in my bed with my hair soaking wet, so at some point last night I guess I took a shower to try to sober up.

Thank you sooooooo much you have no idea how thankful I am that you and James were there. I know I wasn't drunk cuz I only had 3 bottles of Rev, and that's nothing LOL!
I talked to James this morning, he told me about how you fireman carried me out. You're an awsome friend Jay! Thank you so much for taking care of me.

It's fucked 'cause you think of kitchener as a relativly small town where nothing happens.

No, it seemed like a normal PR night the sketch level was Low.

True. I never thought that it would be a problem, once again, I think its 'cause we usually have a big group of people and we tend to keep an eye out for eachother, and on eachothers' drinks, but last night it was just the three of us.

Posted by Playa24_7 on Feb-18-2007 03:59:

That's nuts jen fack. People are fucked up I swear, fuck. Everyone that goes, we've always left drinks on the speaker, you just don't think, until something like this happens, fuck. Could have happen to anyone too. We all gotta watch our drinks now I guess. Just like you said jen, you don't really think about it, a small place like that, it's not sketchy toronto, but I guess we all see it can happen anywhere now.

Yeah I've grinded that guy so many times just to be a dick after he was grabbing chicks, which he didn't seem to like haha. Got laughs out of it from people of course. Fack that guy! haha

Posted by Yohan on Feb-18-2007 22:14:

I guess we got complacent b/c we rarely had sketchy events in the PRoom...

Very annoyed that this sort of thing happened in PRoom. (Sorry to hear that you had to suffer for this Jen)

I'm on Barry's side here, full out. Regardless of whether or not Gary does anything, he should definitely be made aware. How can he do anything to change it if no one ever tells him about it?

go Barry!
