Something to keep me going for the next 2 hours as I prepare for a midterm exam...

Done with the mix and I must say I am now a Danny Howells fan!!!

Posted by GroundLine on Feb-20-2007 15:33:

My god how he's mixed obscure tracks together so it's impossible to figure out when they're changing.

Must give this one some time later...

What a great EM... just unreal, totally recommend it for any music fan out there, not just edm. He just mixed everything, although I heard a lot of techno and prog in it, it was a great combination of many things.

The intro with the violin... my God!!!

Danny does not play trance and Sasha plays non energy trance. There has to be a dj that spins tracks like old Tiesto or PVD but with the perfect track selection and flawless mixing of Danny.

Obscure uplifting trance? That's a practical oxymoron.

there's 1 dj who (although he's not that diversative), has quite a wide branche of selecting his records in his sets. cant remember his name asap. it was someone like Menno de Jong, Andy Moor, dunno 4 sure anymore. i know they could never be compared to Howells and Howells' sound, but the DJ i mean isnt very standard. he uses to play some techno, prog + uplifting trance and good classics in 1 set. still keeping that set very unique, without losing the identity of 1 sound ...

Posted by Orko on Feb-21-2007 04:03:

The real point of all this conversation is that you cannot really define Danny's sound.
