Flowers, green grass, and sun, are often the image one conjures up when they think of paradise, or an ideal world, or whatever.

The music may indeed have nothing to do with you feeling good in such circumstances.

Agreed...I don't get deep about it...but I do like the fact that I can listen to it and not have to be in some class or culture. Like hip-hop...I like a lot of the beats etc. but the songs sicken me because these fahkers can't stop rapping about how big their diamonds are and how their neck gets cold from all the 'ice' around their neck and their big droptop Bentleys, and their Rolexes and how they 'ain't workin no 9 to 5 job' and they 'be husslin to stay alive' and shooting peeps and holding peeps out to steal their dough...its fahking stupid. I don't beleive in killing peeps, I think working is a fact of life and those who would rather hussle for money are sick and twisted...I also think one should live within his/her means...I also hate big fat pieces of shit cars that have some huge price tag but are useless objects of status only...if I won the lottery I would keep my 1992 GTI and fix it so its like new and thats because the car makes me hype not because someone else likes it.

Trance makes no reference to what someone wants out of life or what someone beleives...its just music and it sounds good...so thats why I love it.

i guess for me trance is the best way to influence my mood. whenever i feel depressed, i listen to trance. it seems to solve the problem.

Trance is all about emotions for me.(Which is why I generally dislike hard trance)When done right,trance can be so uplifting and beautiful that it touches me deeply.

Trance for me has a universal effect on ppl than any other genre. Its Spirtual rather than, bangin, and its often stereotyped as a form of music to get off ya tits to. Ill never forget Trance, ill take it to my grave.

Trance is source of energy

You know, ask anyone this question to other music fans & not very many will be able to answer. I honestly think each music represents certain moods & personality. Sure I like other musics like R&B/Hip Hop, classical, pop and general dance but trance brings out the inner feeling within us that turns into a strong energy. And not just any energy but a powerful guidance that leads us somewhere.

I don't know about you guys but...in my 23 years of life without every doing a drug nor smoked (drink maybe once every other month), trance has been the strogest influence & the high I can honestly get. Whenever I'm upset or sad, I listen to trance and it ALWAYS gives me a direction to follow. I need trance 24/7 like a food & water *LOL* Whenever I'm working out I listen to trance...sitting at home, or at work, if I don't have trance I'm not the same person.

And the reason why how people say "Trance makes me happy" proves it, the music itself is made to make people happy unlike other music that encourage hate, guilt, suicide, murder, you name it...we all love trance because not only it brings each individual to the highest level of euphoria yet it all brings us in one place...ah trance. Can't live without 'em!!!

Not saying I don't like the sun too, it's only boring, normal days I dislike ie overcast.

Anyways, I don't just like trance but I think I like it the best probably because the best tunes have almost anything. Beats and bass don't do all that much for me, but they do add to songs. And I love synths especially combined with vocals.
Also the emotions are more obvious than in most other types of music.
Basically, I like it for all the normal reasons people like it.

Rain is cool.

Overcast is depressing, and rain combined with wind is annoying.

But just rain, I like it! I like to walk or run in the rain, rather than stay indoors.

Sunny days make me feel good, but when I'm indoors I feel like I need to do something, and when I'm doing something it gets all hot and sweaty and unpleasant. And then you get the sun in your eyes and all the wasps and midgees and all the annoying kids come out.

To me trance is the only thing that makes you feel pure ecstacy without anything else, when the snares kick in building up to ever awaiting melody, i just can't help but smile to both ears, when the adrenaline kicks in with the bass and jou just go mental, nothing can replace the feeling i get deep in your chest when the melody peaks and you scream with the anticipation of whats to come. It is something for every mood or situation, if you need cheering up, motivation, time to think or a good time.

Most of my friends arn't into trance, they call it repeditive and look at it as a passing trend or fashion statment more than anything else(yes i do wear In Trance We Trust and Bitte-Ein-Beat t-shirts). They like Metal, DnB, Jungle, happy hardcore, hip hop and rock. The thing is i can see what they like in all their music and support them for it, and god help them but many have started to listen to my mixes and really enjoy it, even if they don't admit it too much for fear of beind noticed to have emotions.
The one thing i know is that trance is positive, you don't need drugs to enjoy it, it doesn't promote anything exept good vibes, peace and love and it doesn't discriminate

I like trance because of it's complex melodies and the lovely vocals!
Trance make me happy because it has so much joy built into the songs.
I also like the friendship involved in Trance! When you are out on a Tranceclub or a venue everyone is really friendly to one another, and i thinks thats great!
I've been listening to melodic since early 2000 when i found the mp3 site Shadow-Zone (RIP)
before that it was mostly Goa and happy(stupid songs)hardcore

And of course when the snares start to build and the pads sets off i go mental with a smile bigger then ever dancin like crazy... i often cry of joy

Poetry can be a means of expressing something, that can be expressed in other means! A bit like trance, you can look at it in many perspectives. It can make you happy in many different ways.

It changed my life and never fails to make me smile.

That's why I love trance.

Oh, by the way, Gatecrasher is coming into town May 3rd! Our country's first!!!! We are undernourished, I know....

Well ever since I started listening to electronic music in general I went into the whole you have to be fucked up on drugs to enjoy the music. Then I realized that it would be very hard to go through life fucked up all the time to listen to the music that I love. So I stopped doing the drugs and that caused me to stop going to the clubs. Then a good friend asked me to come to a club that he often goes to. So I decided what the hell lets go see what its all about. That was the first time that I had ever gone to a club sober. It was to see George Acosta. I had the best time of my entire life. I have never been more happy or excited in my life. But I have to say that Ferry Corsten did it to me. There is just something about the music. It gets into your soul. The surrounding day has nothing to do with it. The music can make the worste day better. It gets into you and brings out your inner most happiness. There is no other music that takes no understanding of the culture from which it came from. You could be listening to songs that you have never heard the language that they come from and you will still be able to relate to them just by the way they sound. I think that is amazing in itself. Trance is a way of life and has made mine a much better place.
