well, since I couldn't get into Guv once Sander started thanks to all the pushing and shoving that was going on between the Orange Room, Gallery and Guv... I decided that I would take my chances back in KH for Talla.
WOW.. set of the night for me. There was definitely lots of trance in my pants and I loved every single set played in KH tonight. I had never listened to Talla before tonight and it was banging and delivered. I was totally impressed!!! Not only that but he dropped Flight 643

I snuck over to Guv for all of 20 min to see the last couple tunes Sander played, get my pic with him, have a smoke and then back to the KH I went for the remainder of the night.
Even me who normally thinks B&J are horrible, loved their set. It was a complete 180 since the last time I saw them.
And Piet, well as Tyler said.. he always knows how to deliver. I went and had a short sitdown break cuz my body couldn't take anymore during his set, but there were definitely a number of great tunes played. Greece 2000
Max was playing some fun tunes by the end of his set. I wish that I wasn't so caught up in all my trance to catch more of his set. Or rather just have the patience to deal with the Guv crowd.
Anyhow, saw so many ppl out tonight and I had a blast with all of you at some point in time during the night. It was also nice to meet some new faces as well
Now I need to catch a nap before further festivities take place
lots of (hot) women out last night too

What a great night.
Got in KoolHaus to catch the last bit of Vynal Junkies
Was a little upset that they did not open the doors to Guv until after 11:30
Kenneth Thomas dropped a good set. liked Without You Near - Markus Schulz
Talla 2XLC played a lot of well known tunes, enjoyed his set
Dozilla - Without You
Tiesto - Leathal Industry
Blank And Jones
dance floor got busy when they came on.
I liked their set
Rank1
What a great set. Thanks Peit
This was the highlight of my night, right til the very end.
Actually KoolHaus was not very warm, and the crowd was okay.
i knew it! i knew this party was going to rock! talla and blank&jones were amazing! blank&jones it is always a treat, i got to see a little bit of Sander and it sounded good too. glad to see so many familiar faces in there and that the music was fraking good everywhere you went (except perhaps that little hip hop room, but oh well).
the only thing that sucked was that by time i arrived (i think it was around 2) the coat-check was sold-out (first time in a long time visiting guvy i see this happening) and had to carry my coat all night long :-(, luckily it wasn't as hot as usual :-). except for this everything else was great.
looking forward to the next one. I'm shutting down now ...
Overall it was a pretty good night. I didn't love Sander's set much except near the end. Blank & Jones really impressed me..lately trance has been boring me but they kept me happily entertained. The surprise/highlight of the night for me was the Scumfrog. Quite impressed by this guy!!!
It was good bumping into a lot of TA's and meeting some new one I haven't met before
Got to Kool Haus at 2:30, just wanted to see the last two sets in KH.
Blank and Jones and Rank 1 are both amazing.
That has been my opinion for them for quite a while and it stands to this day.
I go to see them with high expections and they constantly deliver.
I dont think i could have asked for anything to have gone better inside the club. personal opinion.....there was plenty of room, the temperature was perfect, not too many pushy people.
I wouldnt have changed a single thing.
GREAT NIGHT (based upon the only 2 sets that i went to see)
Musically, Max's set was probably the best ive heard to my personal recollection. WTF was that, insane.
Full review to come...
Last night took off in a thousand different directions, then back again...heard a ton of solid music and the randomness was overwhelming.
More later on...need to rest a bit, lol

Get used to that.....I used to come up to Toronto every weekend practically from Roch and got searched 8 times outta 10 when they realized where I had been! lol btw how the hell does it take you 4 hours to drive to B-lo? are you going 2miles per hour?
lol sounds like you had a frisky night
edit double post sorry
What a great night.
Who waits in line for 30 mins, and then pays $25 cover to go to the orange room to listen to rap????
at such a big EDM event like this, why dont they have like techno or dnb or something in there instead......
like does anyone actually go to ultra spin and just stay in the orange room all night???? or maybe its just a place for people to dump their non-EDM friends
Man i totally go for the orange room it was the most pumping room of the night!!
Scumfrog is my hero.
All i gotta say is that The Scumfrog killed it last night! that guy really impressed me. I was in the guv for the first 30 min of Sanders set, he was playing some killer tracks but i just couldnt dance do them due to the over crowdness so me and my buddy moved to the drink. Once we were there we just couldnt leave.... The Scumfrogs skills and the way hes able to react with the crowd was amazing... will definetly check him out again if he ever comes back.
BTW anyone know any of the song names that he played? esspecially the first one.. thx

i know EXACTLY the one you are talking about with a sick driving bassline.
a good night, pfffffft ppl stop complaining about Guv main room! was it your first night out there? NO! you knew the crowd will be bad and it will be packed, now suck it up
anyway, Cribster, Kat and moi got to Guv around 10, got in around 10.30 (what a pile of bs those guest list line-ups are, regular line was moving so much faster then ours was, even though it was longer
). We walked in on Mark Oliver dropping some solid tunes, I think we caught a good hour of Mark, I was fairly impressed.
We ended up changing rooms a lot before Sander came on, caught bits and pieces of Kool Haus Dj's as well.
I was very glad I secured myself a spot right in front of the Dj set-up, and stayed there the whole night, that was my best Guv experience ever for sure! Had my room to dance, chatted with peeps next to me, then eventually some TA's found me and we had some mini dance-offs... I really liked what Sander played last night (what was that ATB - Killer remix?!?! anyone?), the way he smiled and interacted with us was awesome too... thank GOD none of the cheesy overplayed tunes were played! Grabbed him after for a small chat (Mikey I showed him the txt msg, he was very touched
) and some pics... all in all my best 2 and half hours of US12
After Sander was done, we decided to head back Kool Haus for some hands in the air trance, Blank and Jones were pure awesomeness! I literally was standing and just enjoying the tunes like that. Rank 1 after them started off with fairly predictable set, so we called it a night at 5am.
As always, it was the people who made the night better - my partner in crime Kat, Cribby, Jaxy, Jenn+Jenn, Sonja, AJ, Dima, Robstar and Jamie, and everyone else I had a pleasure of running into last night
of course a good chunk of me was missing last night due to unfortunate circumstances

Geli you nut

AND ED YOU FUCKIN GUY!!!!! HILLLLARIOUS!!!!!!
THE FUTURE(Rank1 Remix)!!
Ferry Corsten - beautiful twice hell yeah....

what a night!!
first the bad: being obliged to spend time in the orange room (N), that traffic jam up in the tunnel (wtf??), mainroom packed-ness
now the good:
met a lot of people, met a lot of TAs (sticky_shoes, Ni-Cd, cribby, & others whose names I dont remember), good tunes all night... 10/10 for sure
got in, hopped around mainroom for a little bit, hopped around KH then took off to the gallery for the rest of tim's set. caught robb g (really good, too!) and spent a half hour in the mainroom for sanders opening.... didnt do it for me so I took off back to the gallery. nothing was comparable to JELO. the man deserves an award for being so fucking into his music. he nailed it 110%. charles feelgood came on and nailed it too, but like someone else said, it was way tooooo hot in there
made my way to the KH and was blown away by b&j. I was planning to catch sydney's closing all night and tried to leave a few times, but rank1 just kept on getting better and better. KH had the perfect amount of ppl in it too
took off at 7, made it back to guelph for 735ish
sooo deaf, sooo sore, but sooo f'n worth it
