I wouldn't have a problem getting my kids Old Navy or Target...but you weren't talking about kids

the name "old navy" just makes it sound too much like "old nasty gym shorts"

Jamie @ Old Navy

aren't you taking this "slumming" thing too far?

Old Navy is hit or miss for me. i got an awesome tank top for $3.97, and one of my favoritest comfiest hoodies came from there, but a lot of their clothes are such crap quality. certain stuff wrinkles too easily and changes shape/size completely after you wash & dry it. i think it's one of those stores where you definitely get what you pay for.

and yeah, it's also one of those stores that can be entirely different depending on what area it's in. the Old Navy near me is in a mall in kind of a hoity-toity area so it's decent, but i've been to some super ghetto Old Navy's before.

Old Navy is a def hit or miss. I have the comfiest PJ pants from Old Navy and I think some cute sweaters, but that's it. The sizes are waaaayyy off compared to Costa Blanca, Guess, Banana Republic etc. They only have even numbers if I remember correctly and my size is an odd. The one near where I work is pretty nice and the one downtown isn't bad either. In the summer I got some nice wife beaters from there but the things is that they stretch too easily. I bought them to wear for dance practice and/or under my soccer jersey so the material wouldn't stick to me when I sweat but the material sucks balls. You totally get what you pay for.

only thing i'd get from Old Navy are jeans and t-shirts.

H&M for everything else

Used to shop at Old Navy back in the day. Now, not so much. They don't have anything too interesting.
