I must admit...I really enjoyed that song. I miss Tiesto old songs that carried that cinematic feel to them.

12. He's A Pirate (Tiesto Remix)

I can already give these two songs a 0/10. I hate those two songs. I hope BT gives much influence to this album for Tiesto. Maybe it'll turn into a BT album feat. Tiesto instead.

The BT connection made me mildly interested in this, but the marketing blurb makes it sound utterly fucking horrible. Talk about counter-productive...

Agreed on D4L, but he's a pirate was a solid trance track. Not much wrong with it, and certainly not worth 0/10.

In April, Tiesto will release his brand new artist album, Elements Of Life. The Dutch-born DJ has been recognized as the worldwide chart topping success that sells out stadium events, performs to billions at the Olympics, uses his muse to battle the AIDS epidemic, and consistently gives his fans what they desire. His career is filled with so many achievements that to say Tiesto is the number one DJ in the world simplifies what has taken over a decade to build, and we wouldnt sum it up as such.

This new release, Elements Of Life, is officially labeled as Tiesto's third
artist album to date, once again affirming Tiesto's status as not only a serious performer, but also as a serious musician.

Tiesto: "I am very excited about my new album and the new single from the album called "In The Dark". It's a very experimental piece of work and combines the style of rock with trance and electronic. The vocals are done by Christian Burns who I met through MySpace. This is the first time that I have combined these different genres, I have always liked rock music so it made sense."

His 2001 debut album In My Memory
included the hits Flight 643, Suburban Train and Lethal Industry. His 2004 follow-up Just Be was just as strong with the singles Traffic, Love Comes Again and Adagio For Strings. The sound of this new album has certainly progressed from Tiesto's former productions, incorporating more house and vocal elements, crafting real electronic songs instead of purely focusing on hit tracks for the dance floor.
The album includes already familiar tunes, such as the worldwide phenom, 'Dance4Life', co-written with Maxi Jazz, one half of the renowned duo Faithless. The single was released in 2006 to create awareness among young people of the AIDS/HIV epidemic, with all the proceeds benefiting the 'Dance4Life' organization. Dance4Life is a growing, worldwide project to promote awareness of HIV and AIDS by summoning the active involvement of all young people to dancefor life on a global scale.

Elements Of Life features renown guest vocalists such as innovative producer and previous Tiesto collaborator BT a.k.a. Brian Transeau, who delivers his trademark vocals on a brand new love song,Break My Fall. Independent singer/songwriter Charlotte Martin, whose voice and spirit are often compared to the likes of Kate Bush and Tori Amos, can be heard on the haunting Sweet Things. The deeply hypnotic track Can You Feel Me, allows Julie Thompson, best known from the hit Nothing by Holden & Thompson, to entrance the listener into a state of pure unadulterated pleasure.

The other male vocal on the album can be attributed to U.K.-based Christian Burns, formerly of the band BBMak and currently making new noise around the world with his band Inhaler. He is featured on In The Dark, the first new single from Elements Of Life. It is a song described by Tiesto as Rocktronic, a mix of electronic music and rock, and will get the remix treatment from Carl B. and Dirty South, accompanied by a forthcoming video. Also featured on the album is JES, famous from her tracks As The Rush Comes by Motorcycle and Like A Waterfall, bringing her celebrated style to the new hit Everything.

Elements Of Life also highlights instrumental dance floor stompers Ten Seconds Before Sunrise, Carpe Noctum and Bright Morningstar, which are all trademark Tiesto material. Eleven tracks with one bonus will make Elements Of Life one of the top electronic albums of 2007.

In support of the album, Tiesto will embark upon an Elements Of Life world tour for a year. This uniquely elongated tour, afforded by his top DJ position, will consist of distinctive events comparable to the highly successful "Tiesto In Concert" shows. While the former shows were recognized worldwide as state-of-the-art, the events comprising the Elements Of Life world tour will be something never
before witnessed... an utterly mind-blowing experience! Two featured stops will be the Ultra Music Festival in Miami on March 23rd where Tiesto will co-headline with The Cure, and then close out the Main Stage on Saturday night, April 28th at Coachella 2007, following the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Elements Of Life tour concept features the four elements of life; air, water, earth and fire. Each of these will be seamlessly integrated within the shows to create an unforgettable and highly incomparable experience. Although venue sizes and capacities may
vary, the look and feel of each Elements Of Life show will remain consistent throughout the tour. As Tiesto is an artist not to be
missed, do not let one of his sets pass you by.

making a new thread on a subject that's already discussed, simply by copy pasting that older thread = useless ...

dance4life???

Posted by Stino on Mar-05-2007 22:20:

i wonder whhy he is putting D4L and hes a pirate on it... everyone heared those songs a million times, completely no reason to put them on and i wonder how they will fit in the BT stuff... D4L is one of those tunes that would never have been picked up by a label if it wasnt made by tiesto.

A Dirty South Mix of a Tiesto track.....gotta say, a year or two ago that didnt look like a likely combination

Are you sure about this? There are plenty of digital labels that release crap comparable, if not worse, than Dance4Life. That's one of the problems with the electronic music community.

As for the album, I, along with many others, am completely underwhelmed.

it's gonna suck, just like everything else he's done since 2004...

I just heard the radio edit of In the Dark...

...and i want to kill myself. How could he have come to this...
I am in complete shock. I usually can understand his direction but this has left me completely speechless...in a very bad way.

Posted by naeblis on Mar-11-2007 04:01:

pleased. not too bad imo. I am through the 1st three tracks, and am enjoying it. It is very very tiesto, but not too bad imo. =)

thats all, the rest suck

Posted by xtr3m on Mar-11-2007 06:02:

It's so-so.

Posted by limin_li on Mar-11-2007 06:43:

I wonder which one of these tracks are sequel to Flight 643, and Traffic....

Posted by xtr3m on Mar-11-2007 06:45:

Carpe Noctum is like a house version of Traffic.

Posted by limin_li on Mar-11-2007 06:50:

Break My Fall!, This track's high hats remind me of Tiesto remix of L'Espanza by Airscape. Great track, I believe this track saved the album.

Posted by IpLaYWiTLiGhTs on Mar-11-2007 07:05:

Shit album, not surprised.

A lot of the tunes COULD be decent with some remixes, but none of the originals stand out and wouldn't get a regular listen from me.

I also see no influence from the "Tiesto" sound (maybe excluding Carpe Noctum and Elements of Life (which is a knock off of his Adaigo tune)), never would have guessed this is his album.
