Thats the best and most obvious advice any could give with any regard to personal comuters period!!!

Here's a simple formula:

(Computer - Password) + Girlfriend = Trouble

Just run in limited account mode so ppl can't make any crazy changes or install rootkits. Limited mode is good for that reason.

gutted although its every dj/producers nightmare i guess, sounds like that lilly allen video (cant remember which one) where she hacks up some lads vinyl collection then again you get what you deserve, sorry dude

as long as you have the original cds then you'll be fine but unless you backed up your work then theres not much you can do mate.

I was thinking the exact same thing while reading this, that's one of the first things I did once I recieved my music computer and commenced loading it with all my software and files, some things are far too valuable to leave unprotected.

Lesson learnt ?

Behold the wrath of the girlfriend. And it could have been worse.

A friend of mine had ALL his gear (Pc, decks, mixer records Ps2 etc and whatnot) outside in the street, cleared in less than 5 minutes.

Consider yourself lucky. No scratched CDs DvDs ? (that's a classic)

And she's thinking the same thing now, no doubt.
