Hmm! This was odd!

Well, see it like this... This may sound stupid, but maybe it will make sense!

Anyway, would you buy a stolen car just o see if you can drive it and like it or not, and then buy it? Doesnt make any sense, does it?

If you dont know what to buy and want to do it the "right" way, like going to the car dealer and test drive it before buying.

Meaning, dowloading the demo and try it out! Its much cheaper, hey its eaven free. Then if you think your going to continue producing, buy it!

Sorry, didnt know what else to say, i just thought the whole thing was stupid!

i dont know this is a touchy subject in reguards to more then music production software.... for example who owns a legit copy of windows xp? or windows 2k? who owns a legit copy of office? who owns a legit copy of any software? who downloads the trial version then a crack to make it not the trial version? who has not a single piece of cracked software? do you pay for all your sample packs? or do you download samples that you can not verify 100% are free samples that someone has made or are they really just samples the person bought and to look cool is uploading a small portion of these technically copywrited samples? do you own every movie you have backed up? do you own every mp3 on your computer? i mean really give me a break here you all are as guilty as the guy selling the cracked software... only thing is hes got bigger balls then you... how so you might ask because hes willing to take the risk because it will allways be trackable unless he has you sending him cash to a bogus address that he merely goes and waits at till the post comes and then gets it.... really dont fucken talk unless you really are 100% not guilty of anything.

i personally i see it like this do as you may there has been piracy for years and years and allways will be its not my fault that software companies are too stupid to figure it out..... dongles have been around for years autocad and graphic software and shit like that have been using it for years yet big companies still have a software team that essentially cracks it so they have to have a dongle on every computer..... not this i see wrong unless they accutally own a liscense for every machine on it... so as it may be everyones guilty and saying you arent is a bloody lie. did you pay for that 200dollar version of nero your running? id you pay for the dvd software you installed because the shit that came with your computer is a pos.? ever record a tv show without written consent from the studio that is airing it? point proven so shut the fuck up you silly little twats and go suck your self rightous dick and if you cant figure out how im sure you can find porn that is probly copyrighted that you will download to teach you how.... while your at it go eat some more assholes and then brush your teeeth but it doesnt matter youll allways be an asshole eater just like you will allways be a mother fucken software pirate so get out the fucken parrot and the eye patch and fuck your mom with your peg.....

All I have to say that everyone that I know in real life, and most of my online friends, have cracked software. That includes friends that make music, friends just who listen and than everyone alse ( this includes, all kinds of people I meet, frends, their parents, and such). In fact when I think about it I don't know a single person that is 100% legit software user. I mean I have friends who have cubase legit, but all their plugins are not, or half. Software is the easiest thing to steal, and you get away with it. I know some people who make money making music yet they run 50% on cracked synths and plugs. <-- this is something i am against. Ya like who paid for their waves dimond bundle, right... Just look at the torrents, type something "vsti" and you get all the shit for free. And you wonder why.. And to be honest, I don't give a flying fuck if you use cracked soft or not. It's not my money not my soul. I pay for what i can.. And at list for what is worth it. Thease days most software is a fucking rip off with amazing sky high prices, and a life span of 5 years max? or less. Plus you get to be a beta tester for them, waiting for updates to fix this and that. If you can aford it buy it, if not it's you choice, but stop bitching about it.. One more thing, I get this guy saying this to me few month ago: Where do you get your money to buy all this hardware you have? Well I work my ass off. Than the guy says I got like 50 vsti's, and he goes on showing me like 50% of the best vsti and plugs and such with a sample libary of 150 discs. And I think about it.. Well that stuff is worth 3 times more than my hardware studio.. but it's all free for him.. SO WTF!!

I own 2 legit licenses for Windows XP Home Edition (came preloaded onto 2 computers I've bought in the past 3 years) and I own 1 legit license for Windows XP Pro bought recently because I ran into networking problems trying to get my computer onto our office network. I own a legit copy of Microsoft Office 2003 aquired with a student discount when I was studying for Uni. I own a legit copy of FL Studio 7 and a Soundforge license back when it was distributed by Sonic Foundary. All the software I acquired I bought it legit. That or it was bundled with some peice of hardware which I aquired legit (i.e. I got Painter Classic for free because it came bundled with my Wacom graphics tablet).

So you must have pretty low standards when it comes to knowing people that don't pay money for software. Shit its not like most of this shit is prohibitively expensive provided you have a job.

Regardless of that, you must be a fucking retard to discuss cracks or admit to using cracked software on this forum not least of which is because it is against the rules. Even if you don't get banned (which I'll admit rarely ever happens) you will always be treated like a mongoloid fucktard if you do admit to using cracked software. So whilst Dezma was probably wrong to jump to conclusions at the start of this thread, hes actually being proved more and more right as the thread goes on.

To the threadstarter - if you don't want to make yourself look like a fool around here you would do well not talk about aquiring cracked software or asking where to get it. Stupid threads tend to get alot of stupid answers. And when they get stupid enough, Luke or some other mod will just lock it and banish it to the bottom of the forum for being totally spasticated.

You don't seem to have a technological NEED for Cubase just yet.

you stil missed the fact your telling me every piece of software you have installed is legit? your telling me you dont use mp3s of songs you dont OWN? your telling me you never record a tv show without express a WRITTEN permission of the studio that aired it? i highly doubt it to even argue with the fact or piracy is like trying to say youve never thought about getting a blowjob? seriously man all you did was attempt to proove that you were better then someone not paying. also you state that you have a legit copy of xp pro and how many instances of the install do you have? if its more then one its pirating. ever install a full version to try it before you buy it? if so you still broke copyright laws even if you uninstalled it. but ohh well what can you do?

Yes but all the pros started as amateurs and learned making music using pirated software. Once they turn pro, they purchase the software.
So if pirated software didnt excist, pros didnt excist and manufacturers like Steinberg would sell nothing.

Steinberg sells most of their products to non electronic amateur users. Stating that they would not exist if pros did not exist is simply not true.
